It's a college room so get no choice in the furniture at all, and are quite restricted by having to take everything home over the summer (and then bring it back again).

It's all fairly comfortable stuff though, and get a decent view of the street from the windows and definitely enjoying the space.

Got a TV and some other new kit for the room and had to move some stuff around; so thought I'd throw up a pic while it's still tidy. TV appeared just in time for new American TV season :)

Haha, you bugger! I had to go and straighten them once I read that lol.

Yeah, metal desk and leather seats aren't exactly warm in the mornings, but nice surface once you get over the shock :p

    Thanks, recycling F.T.W ;-)

Picked up a Jerker table and swapped out my other modified jerker at the office. I'll get some better pics tomorrow.

That monitor arm is very smart - details?

The arm is a Chief KTA325B. It is attached to a piece of 1.5" galvanized steel pipe that is threaded on one end. The pipe threads into a 1.5" floor flange that bolted to the desk top. I drilled a hole in the center of the floor flange so the cables could be run down through the center of it.

Recently got myself an actual computer desk, so I wasn't limited to just sitting at my television, straining my eyes to see the smaller stuff. Basically everything you see is new to within the past few months, other than the little bookshelf system which I've had for a few years now, and the netbook.

Not pictured are the 42" television and surround sound system, along side the xbox 360 controller and printer in the other room, which are also hooked up to the computer via a pass-through I've installed in the wall. Hoping to continue the upgrades with a new case, speakers, and a couple more displays.

Nicely thought out set-up, although I recommend a smaller form-factor keyboard as that seems quite cramped. You might want to look into a Noppoo Choc Mini or KBC Poker - or if you don't want to bother with mechanical boards, perhaps a DealExtreme generic small form-factor keyboard would be adequate.

Here's a pic of my Noppoo for reference:

The keyboard tray is a little tight, yeah, but I don't want to lose my number pad functionality, so I'm actually going to modify the desk itself to accommodate for an even larger keyboard, as the Dell I'm on at the moment is quite small compared to most and doesn't have the functionality I want. Thankfully, the desk has a rather large amount of space above the tray, so I'm thinking of getting a wider/deeper piece of wood, covering it in a thin layer of plastic (forget the actual name for the stuff, but it can be had from a hardware store for cheap in big rolls), and bolting it down to the existing keyboard tray sliders via 1x1" wood pieces. Hopefully get that done within the next month.

Had a bit of a tidy-up and added two Samsung 24" monitors I nabbed from work (trying to get them home on the train in rush hour was a challenge!):

And a "hello" from Lia, the desk cat:

^ Nice set-up! I'd love to have space for a trio of monitors!

Cleaned up and switched the desk around.

And the living room looks like this till I get that big (free) tv fixed, then the 37" that I'm using int he living room now, becomes my monitor.
