Photos Your Room and Computer

Haha that is a fair question! The reason is "simple" it is because I have several gaming mice which I like to use / mess about with. As they are all so different they perform differently on cloth and hard surface mouse mats. Hence the reason I have more than just one

 

Multiple (mounted) monitor users, I have a question for you all. What stand/mount do you use or recommend? I'm looking for something that will accommodate two monitors and another for three. Go!

 

My main rig is down right now and chrome refuses to sync my bookmarks on this computer so I don't have the exact link I ordered from, but I'm pretty sure THIS is the mount I'm using.

I remember it was <$40 and I ordered it from a site I had never heard of before. It's an incredible stand for its price point; I'd go so far as to say one of the best values for a dual mount. I have a 22" widescreen and a 19" standard hanging from it. Even if I clumsily bump my knee into my keyboard tray whilst standing up, jarring the whole desk, I never feel like my monitors are at risk of falling. The arms are long enough to reach across the desk and put the monitors at a comfortable viewing distance and tall enough that they clear my split level desk.

 

I have had that issue so many times with firefox its not funny. I use both firefox and chrome for work and ended up getting sick of not being able to share bookmarks successfully or the browser refusing to sync/wipe/duplicate bookmarks. I use Xmarks now instead, been using it for about 6 months now and have never had any issues with bookmarks being duplicated or lost, even between different browsers. The only downside is I can't sync to my phone unless I pay for the app.

TBH it hasn't bugged me enough to look into the problem. I pretty much spend all my time on bit-tech, youtube, or imgur these days....

 

Get some speaker stands, I heard they made a big difference but didn't really believe it until I got some myself. Wow, my speakers have never sounded so good. Now I just listen to Led Zeppelin all day long and it is awesome.

I use the top one- nice quality for the price, though they also do a clamp version for fixing it to a desk if you prefer.

 

Here's my room, excuse the crappy phone panorama, best I could do.


The reason why there are 2 dressers is because I used to share my room with my brother, if you look carefully you'll notice 2 headboards, I put the two single beds together to make a make-shift king, just turned the top mattresses so I wouldn't fall through, plus I have a 3 inch memory foam topper so you don't feel the split in the middle. I wish the furniture matched, all the lighter wood stuff I've had my entire life, and my parent's don't want to get rid of it, as it is very well build compared to my crappy desk and cheap ikea bookshelf, but they do the job for now. Looking at a wider and deeper desk so I have more space to work with, my laptop currently blocks my 2nd (the left) monitor when it's open.

Working left to right, my dresser, 40 inch Sony kdl40ex400, ps3, 360, Wii, western digital HD live box, Yamaha receiver powering klipsch HD 300 speakers, forgot the receiver model. Next is my brothers dresser, my crappy desk, my new Westeros print over the desk, tower, bookshelf with crap and my cork board with school deliverables, junk drawers, custom dot on shaft guitar which I can't play, phat psp (I think its the 2000) and DS lite, Braavos print, bed, George St. Pierre picture, The Known World (A Song of Ice and Fire) print, night table, epiphone SG that I can't play!

 

Makes a change to see a video, did make me laugh "could do some cable management but can't be bothered" my sentiments exactly
