It's the 4080, can't believe how much difference in this and the 3090ti I had.

Size performance and how quiet and cool it runs, just got a little sag so I've ordered a support rod from the bay.

Im assuming that’s down to DLSS3 as I didn’t think there was much between them from a rasterisation POV

I have the same card, and there's a support bracket that uses the motherboard mounting screws in the box.

Can't use it due to the covers on the corsair 700d airflow at the end of the card.

Been a little while since I posted in here, recently had a bit of a tidy up/rearrange. Work laptop on the right connected to the central and right vertical monitor, personal pc under the desk connected to the left vertical and central monitor.
Cheap usb switch attached to the bottom of the desk to switch mouse/keyboard between if I'm using both at once.

Setup on the left side is in theory to test some stuff I used for oc to then sell on but hasn't actually been used yet haha. Aim is to make some kind of desk shelf to raise things including my speakers a little, and just gain a little more 'desk' since it's quite shallow. Also probably aiming to get some kind of stand for the laptop if I decide to keep using it as a 3rd screen (right hand vertical monitor is a very recent addition, not sure if I still need to keep the laptop)

I approve of your choice of keyboard/keycaps...

Ducky mini? You get yours from a group buy via Ducky Nordic before they were released as well?

Part of me has been tempted to try and 'upgrade'/change recently, partially becauase I wanted to get a new nicer cable but a lot of the nicer looking ones are usbc, and I had a braided cable from pexonpcs but it was very stiff and then it kind of fell apart which was a shame so using a bog standard one at the moment.

But the keycaps are great, only changes I made were the portal ones each side of the spacebar, flipped the spacebar round when I gave the whole desk a tidy a couple of weeks ago, and the big power button for an escape as it makes me smile everytime I look at it, even if the colours don't match the rest of the board :D

I have a mucky ducky too (mines TKL). Its my WFH daily driver and is in a far less than hygienic state given my unhealthy habit to eat all 3 meals as I'm working each day at my desk.

Also the backlighting is gone on over half the keys. I think a clean and attempt to fix is needed at some point

This is my working from home setup, I prefer to be in the office in general but it's useful to have the option; for example today I'm choked with the cold, not bad enough to take the day off but if I went into the office I'd get lynched. Unfortunately Laura also uses this desk (despite it being a partners desk, we never use it at the same time), so it has all her junk on it too. It would have been nice if her laptop supported the USB-C dock, everything would be a lot neater.

It's all stuffed into the spare room, which is more dumping ground than anything, with single glazing and zero sun it gets pretty cold in the winter :waah:

Nope. Pretty much a complete custom jobby. I got a milled/CnC aluminium case/base and Margo Baggins (former user on these forums) built out a kit they had into for me; and i added the key caps and braided cable i'd bought elswehere. 'tis my daily driver on my personal machine; use the big boy ducky shine 5 behind it for work.... both of which could do witha serious clean... :worried:

EDIT: i think i have a second braided cable of similar colours if you're interested?

EDIT2: Yeah, here it is; USB-A to mini-USB (i think - im rubbish with usb types)

Old desk above, new partially done one below, right side still to do and a metal edge trim needed.

Mucking about with the wide-angle lens on my new phone, so here's the mess in all its glory

And yes, the picture frames need replacing. That's the last time I buy shitty quality frames from Ikea...

Heh, it's literally the product name  : https://www.dimensions.com/element/ikea-erik-file-cabinet. Doesn't seem to be a product they stock any more...

Honestly it drives me crazy. These shitty Ikea frames don't hold anything in place at all, so unless the frame fits the poster just perfectly then every single freakin' one slips.

A couple of months ago I bought this beautiful hand-drawn Tolkein-style map of Wales from Etsy, and I still haven't put it up yet because I haven't found a frame of sufficient quality. It's A1-sized, so it's a bit of a beast.

If you can get a bit of cardboard the right size to just force a little bit of pressure onto the glass it should do the trick.

The frames we have either have thick pictures in or are padded out and seem to hold.

I've used www.easyframe.co.uk before for custom sized frames and have been pretty happy with it, may be worth considering.
