Started putting up some of my posters and setting up my PC

 

I love that Pink Floyd poster, my dad had it a while back and I thought it was a really clever idea.

 

T'is indeed. For those of you who haven't seen the poster its called "Pink Floyd Back Catalogue"

I got that, the SF poster and a 300 poster for £5 at a poster sale thing at my Uni one day.

 

I've got the 4.5' wide one above my bed, pretty much dominating one wall. I love it

Really must tidy up the place enough to throw up a few pictures, haven't posted since I loved out last year.

 

I redone my whole desk today so I thought I show a new picture. From left to right:

Laptop in sig, 19" screen, G11, XDA 2, 15" screen, G5, Wireless mouse for second computer which is under the second screen

 

Q6600 @ 3.2 , XFX 8800GTS Alpha DOG XXX 750/1080



Logitech G25 wheel, and Logitech G11 keyboard, and Logitech G5 mouse * now a G9 *, Marantz Amp, and Yamaha CD Player, all wired into the pc, out of shot is my Acoustic Solutions Floor standers, monitor is a Samsung 204bw.

 

why do so few people put their case on the floor?

 

Because there is no space on my floor, and the computer slot in the desk is too small to fit a TJ-09 case in. There is also the issue of monitor cable length, which I have had problems with in the past.

 

Dust on Carpet > Dust on desk.

Well Mankz. The drapes were nice while they lasted, but now you're back.

 

I see alot of people using that keyboard, is it that good? I use a G11 as you can see from my pictures.

You mean the saitek eclipse?

I have one, its pretty good. Feels a bit like a normal generic keyboard but better which is why I like it. Its like midway between the laptoppy silly keys and the the big beige clunkers.

I am not sure if its me getting lazy, or theres tons of crud in mine, but sometimes I feel like I need to hit the keys a bit hard, I keep meaning to clean it out, but I havnt yet.

But its pretty cheap, looks cool, has a nice backlight and volume controls so you cant go wrong really. And you can get red/blue version or go for the eclipse 2 which has 3 different colours, red/blue/purple.

 

Win for having 2 of the most awesome desks ever

 

QFT! Ikea Mikael is the best table i`ve ever had. They should make a corner version of it for the ultimate computer desk
