I'm looking at two issues here. First off, I have not found a decent/readable scematic with eccact dimmensions. What I'm wondering is:

I've seen these with both 2x7pin "holes" and 1x14 / 1x16. On your typical 1x14/1x16 "hole" pcb - what is the spacing? is it 2.54mm or 2.0mm?

The reason I ask is because I want to make a connctor here with individual crimped leads, so it's easier to mount, and a wole lot easier to measure/rearrange if I should mess up the connections.

Another thing. Anyone in the UK willing to help me out with buying an LCD? The webshop I'm looking at has got the excact LCD I'm looking for, but they refuse to ship outside UK. As most modders know, it's mot easy getting around on a tight budget in certain areas.

Any of you serious UK'ers willing to help me out please PM me. I hope you're willing to help me out (recieve order, "reship" to Norway), Without any "fraud" from both (all 3) parties.

Normally those are 2.54mm pitch. If you check the displays datasheet you will know for sure.
Also i find it hard to believe you can't get 4x20 characters in the UK for a decent price. E-bay is loaded with those too.
Here's a Dutch shop that should ship to the UK, very good priced too (i have one of their 4x20 blues..somewhere..)

oh you might see a couple of other interesting LCD's too :)

You misunderstood me. I live in Norway. its near impossible to get your hands on these things here, unless for prices above those of Matrix Orbital, for the cheap stuff. Even these are close to impossible to get. I want a specific LCD, and "pretty much done", so I don't have to screw around with EL or pol. film. I do not trust my skills that far, yet.

The problem here is that this UK webshop does _only_ ship to the UK. And I need it sent to me here, in Norway. That is why I seek someone serious to recieve the package and forward it here.

Of course LCDs are widely available in the UK. But as you see, the problem is that I'm neither in the UK, nor do I currently know anyone there.
