Funny, this has been a "work" in progress for years, and I have yet to finish "my" dream team! Vocals – Phil Mogg (great voice that kept getting better and better) --->Schenker and Mogg: the greatest combination in hard rock history...basta. Guitar – Michael Schenker (IMMHO the “best” guitar player to this date) Bass – open Drums - John Bonham (default for me, maybe I'm blind on this one but...) Keyboard – Rhythm guitar – open Great thread by the way, thanks! Peace
Vocals - Eric Martin Guitar - Paul Gilbert Bass - Billy Sheehan Drums - Pat Torpey Rep for the first person to get the joke WITHOUT Google.
Drums - George Kollias Lead Guitars - Jeff Loomis Rythm Guitars - Darrell Lance Abbott a.k.a. Dimebag Darrel (RIP) Bass - Ryan Martinie Vocals - Too many to think of - would have to wait and see what kind of music that lot comes up with first...
Vocals - Karen O (I'm well into the Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's at the mo') Guitar - Slash Bass - Flea Drums - Dave Grohl
Repped. The joke is, natch, that they WERE a supergroup (Gilbert from Racer X, Sheehan from Steve Vai/"Dangerous" Dave Lee Roth, Pat Torpey from everywhere, and Eric Martin as a solo artist). Intersting footnote - Eric Martin sang on this: For those who aren't acquainted with Mr Big, try these two - one's a ballad, the other a rocking masterpiece: - the original videos on Youtube are all censored due to WMG, etc But, yes, Rep for the man! Will
As a bassist and guitarist, it's Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert that gave it away the rest was a lucky guess, really... i though i read about Mr Big's lineup somewhere, and the names seemed familiar.
This is pretty much my dream prog line up, using one person per band. If I had my way i'd have portnoy and ruddess on drums and keys. I'd probably throw satriani in there somewhere too. Vocals: Russell Allen Guitar: John Petrucci Bass: Billy Sheehan Drums: Neil Peart Keys: Keith Emerson (just because of his skills, not his music)
Since I mostly listen to some sort of electronical music I can only give input on the keyboard section. Either Vangelis (my absolute fave) or perhaps Sister Bliss (she did a phenomenal job with Faithless).
