nice teaser! Hah, I actually saw this at Buy.com and have quite a few pictures of it. Can't share em here though, I don't want to ruin it for mr. falzone. I can say that the case and entire computer looked incredible, but was very heavy. The case was definately a piece of furniture that I wouldn't mind having in my house (and I don't think my fiance would either). Very nice.
Lo Nick. DuVeL here (if you remember me). I can't wait for the final pictures and such. Must say that following this made me realise I should get my case going aswell again. This week, I'm sorting equipment, next week I'm getting all the wood and such. I've got a few ideas which might be something for you aswell for a next mod. For now: good work again!
In many cases, yes. But decent 450W will beat the both, and 450W is already a lot more power than you are going to need for a single-processor single-gpu machine.. Take a look at for example this Tagan 800W PSU, which is one of the best in terms of efficiency, as it's 80Plus certified: http://www.80plus.org/manu/psu/documents/Tagan_TG800-U25_800W_80PLUS_Report.pdf As you can see, the efficiency peaks at 50% load, which in this case means 400W. This means the peak efficiency is at levels of power usage that will be impossible for you to ever reach. Further considering that most machines spend most of their times idle (surfing, writing, reading are all very low on their CPU needs) and that they idle below 100W, this means most of the time the machine is on it spends it's time on the lowest end of the efficiency curve. So to conclude it: determine how much power your machine will need under worst case and how much it will need in the common case and then pick a PSU that's of high quality and has efficiency that peaks between those two points. All the other parts of the curve are practically non-issue, as you will never be there.
Hey guys. Things are going slowly but i'm working on the article and I'll have final pictures on thursday however youll have to wait until the article comes out later this month to actually see them. I have some other stuff in the works too, Sangaku "Reloaded" anyone?
Why has the left case been pixelized? And whats the use of physx cards? there are a hand of games suppoting this technique and it has an improvement of speed by zero.
It's been pixelized because it is a teaser picture, like he said just above your post. And that card was a gift from one of it's sponsers.
I've read the teaser part but I've thought the non pixelated case is the current one ^^ I've to visit more an every second month
