Right, im ordering a Zalman Flower tomorrow. ive got a few question first... 1) Is the HS defo clip on ? 2) is it all easy to install ? 3) can anyone give me any temps using it on a XP2000+ ??? 4) do i mount it directly over the HS when im installing it ? thanks, .icecube
im ordering the Zalman Flower off quietpc.com, has anyone ordered off them before ? if so, can you tell me how long it took to deliver it to you ? (UK). thanks, .icecube
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Other_CPU_and_System_Coolers_18.html near the bottom of the page, seems to be a bit cheaper and i think it is the right one. http://www.chillblast.com/ seems to be about the same price but they do free p+p and they do a good service. http://www.theoverclockingstore.co....8eaf02bd32030be96deee3673764a9&categoryid=101 they have a whole zalman section. Sometimes they can charge rip-off prcies but they have good product desciptions and do free p+p as well. I have never ordered from quietpc.com as most of the quiet stuff they sell is expensive. Hope the list helps.
overclockers.co.uk - comes to around the same price, says its only upto 1900+ but that must be there mistake ? right guys ? chill blast - the order is 0.7kg which is over 0.5kg so P&P is not free. theoverclockingstore - dosnt have any in stock for 10 days, and i dont want to wait. so its either overclockers.co.uk or quietpc.com. once again, has anyone ordered from them ? thanks, .icecube [EDIT: Ive just noticed that prices exclude VAT on quietpc.com so i would rather get it from overclockers. its the same one isnt it ? it will be fine on my xp2000+ wont it ?]
the xp 2000+ probably wasn't around when they wrote the blurb. Just check it is the same model number. I ordered a modem from overclockers this week and got it the next day.
I've ordered from quietpc.com. I think there a small company but have excellent customer support. I bought a quiet psu and a zalman cnps3100+ off them last year. Unfortunately i managed to fry the PSU buy plugging in a cd rom, while it the puter was still switched on They quickly responded to my emails, i RMA'd it special delivery and recieved a new one the next day. Top marks for punctuality and friendliness. I would recommend them and go there again. The price of their fans are quite expensive, but the PSU (truly is silent!) and the cooler is great, trying it on my XP 1800+ in a week or 2. They've been good to Bit in the past as well, im suprised Mr Haz isn't pimping them....hmmm Hope that helps
i might as well get it from overclockers.co.uk, there cheaper and i know they do really quick delivery. how long did quietpc.com take to deliver ? .icecube
I would disagree on the shipping from OcUK - it's dire... £8 for a 'sometime next week' delivery in most cases
OCUK delivery is only about £4. Are you sure you ren't confusing it with Overclock.co.uk which charges £7 delivery no matter what you order.
i have a flower cooler...got it from quiet PC.......very quick delivery - 2 days one thing to make sure/....your PSU must be horizontal at the top of your case....not vertical going down the side....other wise the fan will not fit the fan screws onto the pci plates, but it could get obstructed by the PSU...i had to buy a new case but very quiet and very cool
i think ill get it from ocuk. ive got a cheiftech scorpio, it should be ok. one more important thing. ive only got one AGP port, which my gfx card will go in. will i be able to screw both in there ? .icecube
if you are ordering from overclockers.co.uk the postage is indeed about 7.50 pounds, and that is delivery sometime in two weeks when we feel like it even though they call it next week...a bit overpriced for my taste....
it doesnt actually screw into the slots, and it doesnt go onto the AGP..... the fan is on a big long arm that goes from the PCI to over the heatsink...... you know with the pci cards that you screw a screw through the card onto the case? well basically it sits on top of that, you jst unscrew, then screw up again with the fan on top... kinda hard to explain but it will work as lon as your PSU's in the right place....
