I was rolling down a hill, without any high speed. In the of the hill i was giving some throttle, and the car was sliding sideways (This is a turbo machine, scary stuff). And then i were skidding from side to side before i ended up sideways in the ditch..

    BUT GUYS!

    LOOK:

The subwoofer enclosure was to big to get it in the car, so it needed to be modified.
Its now alot smaller, and fits in the car!

i just finished adding a car pc to the audi a8 at school that uses the indash monitor for gauge displaying, man that was some frustrating stuff i can tell you, we had a lousy video signal because of the cheapo power supply we got, then the OBD USB adaptor didnt work and we ripped the insides 3 times apart, im so glad this is done and every problem got fixed, i wish you good luck with yours

How many watts are you pushing? I have a pioneer amp, I love their quality.
http://www.cherrybomb.com/ should also be on your list :D

Hehe, it is a frustrating job, specially Audi, who has plasticcovers all over the place inside!
    Thanks : )

Ive just got a temporary setup right now, bought the Pioneer woofers just because the company i work at has a deal with them, so i got them for 66$ each. My amp is a lousy Audison amp, who is also just temporary untill i got the money to buy some DynaBel amps!
The subwoofers are 1200W max, so it isnt a big deal though : p

That sound is amazing! have you testet that exhaust? got my eyes opened there
Too bad they doesnt got any for Volkswagen though..

Mod one onto the VW :D If you have access to a welder I see no problem in replacing the stock muffler with the vortex model.
A little bit of advice with the subs: I would go with a ~750 watt amp. My little 300 watt pioneer completely trashed a 500 watt sub. The sub still kicks, but at low volume it sound like trash.

edit: My friend has a caviler with dual cherry bombs, they make that 2.2L sound like a monster!

I dont know what exhaust i'm going for yet, not a priority at the moment!
I'm working at a VW dealer, so ive got all the tools and crafts i need to do, thats not a problem, hehe. I'm going to buy two of this http://www.mamut.net/dynabel/subdet299.htm , one amp for each subwoofer!

    Cool!:thumb:

Doesnt get that in Norway i guess, with our taxes and stuff, worldwide shopping is terrible!

How's that working out for you?
    More to come, soon!

Hehe, i'm a perfectionist so no temperarily methodes are used here! :thumb:

Never heard of those amps before, they certainly look sturdy enough with those massive toroids.
What kind of accessories will be connecting to the car computer?
I think an accelerometer would be quite entertaining XD

They are some of the best we can get here in Norway, they got real watts, and give what they promise, sturdy amps! GPS, Rear View camera, extra screen for show. i will find more gadgets to get this alot more geek than it is :dremel:

It doesnt look like much, but i've done alot since last, but it is work that you guys doesnt see, like stretching cables inside the car, measuring, leveling, adjustments, planning.
I've also ordered a new motherboard for the carputer, a ITX board will come soon : )
Thats because i want to get a more easier sullotion to get to the computer, for changes and stuff, thats why ive made some change in plans, i'm moving the computer to the left inside the trunk, not in the wheelwell as planned, more information about this to come..

Some pics a yesterdays progress: LEATHER!

I will get some more leather to have on the bottomplates to, but i'm planning to integrate a 17" screen there, and mount a videosplitter i've got, to run my computer on two screens.
Situasion, party/show off! Somebody got a idea to get a normal 220V Screen to connect it to a battery WITHOUT a power-converter? Need help there!
