    Thanks for the pic!
Are you going to color the powersupply and other parts to match the blue frame?

Yes, it will be surrounded by tinted plexi in most areas.

    A cool project once more.

    What brand is that screen?
And did you remove it's outercasing?
Seems like that to me, looks great anyways.

    The brand is PixelVision.
    http://www.zapwizard.com/laserpc/LCD/

    It is 18.4"
The coolest part is that is can handle up to 1600x1200 resolutions like a CRT.
    The native resolution is 1280x1024
I like is so much that I don't even use my CRT anymore (Which was very expensive and high quality CRT)

Interesting project Zapwizard... :worried: No offense or anything, but right now it looks like the chassis of a Go Kart on Castors. :blah: I know I know, its going to look much cooler afterwards, after its completed, but I felt someone HAD to say it currently looks really weird :D

That is what I thought too.
I didn't want blue at all, but it was all I could get.
But actualy now I like the look of the Red Anodized parts against the blue anodized frame.
I still have lots of work though, but nothing is rushed on this, I don't plan on finishing until August. (For QuakeCon)

Well, there is something we can count on with this project-like any project you have done, it will end up being something special :D I have a funky idea for the exterior plexiglass, but it would unfortunately be a complete pain in the ass, but it would also be extremely cool :) You could use that etching tool of yours to etch a K6, K7, or K8 processor die in it's entirety on one of the pieces :baby: :naughty: Personally, I think that would be just totally sweet, especially when lit, thanks to the way light goes on plexiglass. I can see it now-the blue frame with the etchings of a complete actual processor core on the front, glowing red... Ahh, that would just be so awesome. :D Hopefully, AMD would have no objections in you doing this (After all, you DO work for them ;)) And this is something that could be too cool to pass up! :D However... Im not sure this is very feasible, considering how SMALL a processor etch is. Then again, it would be over a hundred times as big! :hehe: :thumb:

Cool project zap but i gotta say..

I'm into modding because its fun and creative. I guess its a way to express myself, and get into hands on projects(and it forces me to spend beer money on modding...which is good or bad depending on your view :)). If you are doing it to get "reactions" out of people then maybe you are doing it for the wrong reasons? It should be more for yourself...dont loose sight of that or it won't be fun for you anymore. Be a bit more humble, and dont try so hard to please everyone else...cause ultimately the only thing that matters is if you are happy with what you have created. Anyways thats how i see things.

...back to the topic at hand. When does this go into full swing?

On my website, under "Fun stuff"
    http://www.zapwizard.com/Wallpaper/index.html

You know what Roto, that is a GREAT idea.
I even can probably dig high-res images of that up at work.

I do the mods as my own challenge to myself, I find it fun to create new things that someone has not thought of, or attempted before.

This won't go into full swing until the ATI PC is done.
(Besides I need money from the ATI PC to complete this one)

Mabye I should go into some more detail on this project, at least as far as my plans. (Granted not all of these may be completed in time)

The Theme of this PC is "Laser PC"
Meaning there will be a minimum of LEDs, rather most of the effects and indicators will use Lasers, rather then LEDs.
    That is not hard.

But the hard stuff will be three more possible laser effects:
A laser driven o-scope style display.
A laser driven LCD style display
And finaly wireless video, via lasers.

I already have the circuits, and plans for those three ready, but it all depends finally on time and money.
