Thanks Andy :) Love the paint on your TVR Dell. Not sure on the more money part, lack of funds is one of the reasons for the slow progress..

    Realy coming along!
Don't use the standard waterblock of the mobo though. I believe it is aluminium.

I won't, there is a kit from EK that I want to replace the standard block, it also replaces the heatsink on the southbridge:

    Small update:

Worked on the midplates today, now all 6 of them fit in the case with the mobo installed. I need to wait untill I have the RAM and mobo waterblock mentioned above to completely finish the panels. I need those parts to measure their size for the cutouts. But for now..all the panels are in, together with the mobo!

    * Small update!

The cpu block for this build is an EK Supremacy CSQ, I don't really like the frosted look. So I decided to polish the block using sandpaper and some silverpolish :)

Looks much better if you ask me :)

For those intrested, here's a small tutorial video by l3p on how to polish your CSQ blocks:

Oh and this build is nominated for MOTM, please vote if you haven't already! :)

Meelobee, please, put the EK logo back on the block. Great polishing, but without the logo it looked incomplete

Awesome work, and very clear, also the polished water block is my favorite:thumb:
Btw I agree with Shurika, without the EK logo is little bit crude, but I am sure that you have maybe other plans with it.

The logo was damaged, there's a big scratch on top of it, so I'll replace it with something custom :)

    Thanks guys :)

Thanks Zsolt :) I agree too, it's missing something without the logo. I'm actually doubting if I should use this block for this build at all, as it doesn't match that much with the rest. Maybe it's better to get a full metal block instead.

A while ago I came into contact with Asus Benelux. When they saw this build and heard about the plans for the rest of the build they decided to step up and sponsor the project with not just one, but two of their Radeon R9 280x cards! A pair of very awesome cards, that will take this build to a new level hardware wise! Thanks alot Asus! :)

Ofcourse both cards go in the build, so I had to make the holes for them:

    Both cards just in
    [IMG]

The left sides of the cards hang a bit because of the weight of the heatsink, the waterblocks weigh less, so it should be ok then.

Made a simple lock for the videocards
    [IMG]

Took the midplate assembly apart and drilled a 10mm hole (biggest drill I have) through all the plates (18mm thick in total) and filed the hole to 25mm
    [IMG]

Made a ring from 3mm alu sheet, inner diameter is the same as the inner diameter of the tube
    [IMG]

Ring is epoxied to the bottom of the lowest midplate, preventing the tube to fall all the way through.

The tube will be used for the 24Pin wiring, it should be just big enough to hold 24 sleeved cables, but it's going to be a tight squeeze :)

Man, this is great. You modded that case so heavily you could almost call it a scratch build. Probably the best 720 mod I can think of.

    Also congrats on getting sponsored.
