Ok here is the problem when I enable SLi I get werid screen distortion only when using the DVI port. If I use a different monitor such as the samsung 2494 and run at 1920x1080 or if I use the HDMI out to Dell @ 1920x1200 or even VGA out at 2048 x 1280 all is good even with SLI. Systems specs are as follows: Asus Rampage III Extreme Intel i7 980x @ 4.5ghz 2x Zotac Gtx 580 Amp! 12 gig of Corsair 1600mhz mem 2x C300 SSDs 2x WD 1tb hds 2x Lite-on ibhs112 blu-ray Corsair AX1200 PSU Logitech G19 kb Dell u3011 Monitor Coolermaster HAFX case Corsair H70 CPU cooler I previously had 2x gtx 480 AMP and had no issues. Things I have tried: Running each card seperate rulling out DVI port issues. Running both cards in a entirely different system. Trying different PCIx slot running both cards at x16 or x16 x8. Running system at stock clocks. Removing 6 gb of ram. Various Bios settings. Different Monitors (Dell 3008 and Samsung 2494) Multiple SLI bridges. (Short, Long, PCB) All voltages seems to stay above +12 and +5 even on load. I tend to believe it has to do with the scaling in the Dell u3011 and the 3008 monitors but I have tried everything I can think of and have no luck. 3dmark11 score is around 11494. So if anyone has a similar setup and could shed some light it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks, Rytir
What is the SLI connector like? Had a flimsy see-through ribbon cable that did pretty much what you described after enabling SLI, cleared up once I put my old solid EVGA one in.
