Going to run this once it's downloaded and installed, wonder what my system score will be. Will edit this post with a nice pic of score etc lol Not sure if this is good or bad lol I guess if I OC my system to 5ghz and run it I might get a better score. Hmmm decisions decisions!
I'll be adding this to my tally of benchmarks when the 990X arrives I'll see if I can break 20K without breaking my system...
Arrrgh! Please either post a FULL screenshot, or put a link in please!! We need to look at what part of the system(s) are responsible for the scores. If you're too lazy to do that, then please submit your marks, and post a link to the resulting web page. It's not difficult.
Ok sorry, will do it again later! http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/531107 Sorry for not uploading. Seems this result is different to the last one but oh well.
Don't suppose we could update the first post with all scores so far and links to the score results, just as an example of what processors come where?
Yeah Pete... you up for that? Would be good. I wish the Mods would re-instate the benchmark stickies again as well.
You guys don't ask for much, I only showed you this benchmark that your addicted to and now you want me to run a thread for it... If I get time later I'll do something
Hokay. Next challenge; Actually overclock this processor to 9.22Ehz to match the Geekbench information. This could take a while.
http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/531127 10595 Rig below I wish I ran this on my Q6600 rig before I pulled it to bits
Goodluck! It's the quad channel thats getting the high scores tho. That was mine @ 4.7Ghz. So, I should of run it @ 5.1Ghz, but your CPU is all wrapped up...
I guess all the guys who bought SB-E need a new benchmark to flaunt their epeen. Call me old fashioned, but super Pi 1M is still more important to me than another benchmark
All this bench mark is doing is using the CPU, no point having more than 4Gb of ram because it's only 32bit, so all the scores are totally inaccurate.
Single threaded... pointless benchmark. True, but I like this benchmark because it tests CPU and memory. While it is 32 bit, it still gives a breakdown in the report, and it's still useful for comparing how different systems behave. You can still get a lot of useful into from it. Back in the old days, bit used to have many benchmark threads all as stickies, and some real battles broke out. I remember the old days when Barton core AMD chips were the weapon of choice, and I had a Sledgehammer based system. I remember doing suicide runs at 2v on air! Those were the days... eeehh... I feel old. Nowadays... you get accused of flaunting your e-peen. (sigh). Whatever happened to competition and pushing things as far as your resources and wallet allowed? This generation is soooo risk averse. Pussies!
I remember destroying my P4 on a glory run looking for 4Ghz, luckily my new rig was almost finished soit wasn't the end of the world. I then took my my new E2160 straight to 3.6Ghz.
I'm now at 4GHz @ 1.4v, and everything seems stable. I'm just ignoring the blend test I'll retest mine later and start to put results on the first post New score @ 4GHz 7217, so now too bad for a 4 year old chip... http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/531229 Aaaaand it crashes a minute after posting this...
Right, i5 OC'd to 4.7GHz @1.3v http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/531231 Link to GB Just wondering if I can get it to 5GHz.... I am loathed to put more voltage through it. I think 4.7GHz is a good every day OC tho
4.7Ghz at 1.3v is pretty darn good, I'm sure you can push it to 5Ghz, just don't use more than 1.4v for an everyday overclock, and as long as you keep an eye temperatures, which should be fine if you have a decent cooler
