Finlandia is pretty decent, but I prefer Kossu (Koskenkorva) for true Finnish 'vodka'. Strom is also pretty good. If you are looking for something a little lighter when you don't want to get smashed, I recommend some nice Korean Soju. It has a fairly similar taste to vodka but is usually closer to wine in alcohol content.
I agree with Manx on the 42 below, very clean vodka from New Zealand, between that and the Polish Sobieski I don't think there's many others to compete. Lovely.
Tesco Value Vodka is like paint stripper for your stomach. Funnily enough you can also use it as paint stripper. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Really? I'm always suspicious of cheap vodka. I may try the Tamova, I have a friend who'd gut me for drinking Putinov. Don't knock Kossu 'till you've drunk a quarter of a bottle then bounced between a 100C sauna and rolling around naked in the snow for 9 hours.
finlandia has to be the best vodka i have ever drunk, and want to agree with you that much i have huge pink writing to show my support.
any middle shelf vodka, and then follow this http://www.cottagesmallholder.com/irenes-strawberry-liqueur-recipe-750/
I known I'm common, but of the few varieties I've tried I quote like Russian Standard. =P Not too sharp and with a vague citrus taste. But then again, after drinking that awful Tesco stuff any alternative seems excellent. I'm making a note of those mentioned in this thread so I can try them at a later date!
