I forget who it was who said 'Politics is promising the earth, then spending the next 5 years explaining why you haven't delivered on your promises...'
Any one ever thought that immigrates can create jobs? My dad came to britain in the Thatcher years and set up a company because it was so advantageous compared to every other country in europe. He has been very successful and employs 50+ people (and growing). Something i am very surprised at is how loyal people are to certain parties. Thatchers death surprised me how many people celebrated. The way I see it is in are current situation we had to get Brown out he was useless, and the only logical replacement from Labour was the Tories. Now after Tories have been in power for a bit, I don't know if a change in government is what we need. Will Labour really be able to do a better job of getting are economy going. As for UKIP I really don't think they are what the UK needs.
I'm not - shove a labour rosette on a cardboard cut-out of daffy duck and a large chunk of people up here would vote for it... then whine about what a crap job it's doing... likewise conservative/liberal in other areas and republican/democrat in the states...
Get out while you still can. Scandinavia is my recommendation. Norway if you can manage it, Denmark or Sweden if you're turned away from there. Did no one even read UKIP's policies? They want to franchise out the NHS for a start! This article is worth a read on the perils of a 'protest vote' to UKIP: Linkage
Hah, no doubt, it's the rhetorical question game. I'll agree, they seem to have amended the NHS point since 2010. Although it's clear from reading their policy that they favour reduced government involvement and thus some kind of privatisation, yes, I read it all. For example: ''2. Dramatically cut the Department of Health and bring in professional procurement skills to reduce the huge amounts of money wasted in procurement and resource allocation.''
seems UKIP cant stay out the news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-22566183 SNP are ` fascists` and `brown shirts`.... he does have a point , if this is the face of rabid SNP extremism
UKIP party members seem like slightly more acceptable versions of the BNP lot IMO. Despite the choices being slim pickings, I'd never vote for them. I'll probably stick to Labour, even though they don't seem able to organise a piss-up in a brewery these days.
Doubt the SNP had anything to do with it. From my understanding the guys involved with this were the Scottish equivalent to UKIP/BNP. Though UKIP are hardly going to win any friends up here...
Scottish equivalent to the BNP IS the SNP (and its various factions)..... please don't try and ignore the extremist elements of the SNP all because they run holyrood. http://www.scotsman.com/scotland-on...under-fire-over-extremists-at-rally-1-2529585
Oh wait, what? This isn't the demote thread, so why am I so demotivated? So many mean Britons! We should be embracing our conservative government, they are the best balance we can ever hope to have! Not far right nut-jobs, and not soft liberal wallies. They're doing their best, they need our support! (Oh, dirty foreigner by the way)
Lol, haven't laughed so much in days. Wake me up in the decade they're not obsessed with Europe please. As for UKIP, I don't have the patience nor inclination to waste time talking about them.
Seriously, comparing the BNP to the SNP is doing your argument no favours. Are you implying that the BNP are a mainstream party who's views represent a large proportion of Britain?
Nothing wrong* with the Loonies. They have, with no MPs, managed to get some of their early manifesto promises enacted into law:- Reduce voting age from 21 to 18 All-day opening for pubs * - for certain values of "wrong"
