    update update

    hello everybody :D

My exams are over and the vacation is started – so it is time for MoDD!nG :dremel:
This is an update of my progress when I took a break (when I was studying)
I started making a hole in the standard side panel:
I made this hole so the electrical wiring is easy to make ;)

I also made a wooden plate as big as the side panel. On this sheet of wood I can make my construction more easy then on a metal sidepanel :)
    …(no foto of this )…
Then I took another kind of wood and I made the holdings of the columns.
This is the same idea as the other side panel ;)

This is the wood I used:

After using the jigsaw it looks like this (it’s already mounted on the side panel)

On the holding beneath I needed to saw in an angle, I use this most of the time for making short cuts :)

With the logo on the side panel it looks like this now:

As you can see, one side of a column is made: here is another picture of it ^^
    [IMG]

I couldn’t use the blue saw machine for these columns so I finished it by hand.

There will only be 2 full columns on this side. Because of the logo (of the Helghast) I cannot make full columns in the middle. Solution: I only make a part of the column. :D

As you can see on this next picture, There are some elements of the other side panel coming back. These “cells” will lighten up as well.

Then I received a package from China :p
And what was in it …. 50 LED – lights, 10 push-switches and some material to help me soldering ;). Then I knew I had a logo to finish … So I took my dremel and started to scour.

When The plexi on the logo was finished, I went back to my side panel. This time, I made the upper half. Here you can see what I mean:

Off course, the logo is bigger and I need to make those pieces smaller.
    I did that today…
You can see that I am gluing the wood.

I also made the upper side of the columns

    And here is the result:

I also got a call from my teacher, she said I succeed (exams)– oléééy

Thanks for watching my casemodding work, feel free to leave a comment or maybe give some advice - hehe
and sorry if my English is bad :wallbash:

PS: a picture of my working space :p

    greetings:rock:

This is really inspiring. The design and the workmanship is above my skills. I often though that one of the standing spaceships from Chronicles of Riddick would make a cool mod with a full tower case.

    thank you :)
I already thought about watercooling, but the case is small and there is no more place to make that possible :p
So it will be fully air cooled :brrr:

    update time

First of all I want to say I’m sorry for this late update.
I forgot to post the last one.
But hey, I got a very big update now :p.

So the side with the logo is almost finished now, here some pictures ;)

I got some problems with this side because the lightning was wrong. So I had to take the logo of and it broke. I made a new one, there is no difference :D

    Clean it up a bit

    Making a new logo:

    And soften the edges…
    [IMG]

Okay, I will begin on the front side of the case now
There is a controller for the light in front and this is how it looks like :D

Because there is a lot of orange here I made some small blocks of wood that will come on top of the controller.

Now the orange color is in the background

Off course I need a power and reset button. But the original buttons aren’t free. Time to make new buttons :p
I found some barrels between my army toys and I thought I could use those.

This is how it looks like on the case

After this I moved on to the inside of the case.
I will use some metal this time to cover up the cables from the LEDs and other stuff.
    First tryout…

Maybe you think it is good but it’s not :p
I think I am going to make this thing again when the cooler is mounted and I got the right dimensions.
I also did the power supply with this metal :)

    After filling things …

The fanguard was bothering me so I made a new grill.

But because the power supply is for a part outside the case I needed to cut the metal in 2 parts.

This needs more painting and weathering effects.
After that I started on the basic plate.

It needs a “dirty” look so I tried out some painting techniques.

As you see, it isn’t finished yet :)
For the colors I was thinking about a light gray case with a dirty finish.
You can compare it with a rusty look but there won’t be any rust here :)
    Some color ideas:

    Hmm … We’ll see :p

For the next update I will make a new thing for the front.
    It won’t be a LCD display :D

    Keep on MoDD!nG

This case is amazing. I'm a big gamer myself and this is really just a stunning case design/build. I love the barrels for power buttons, hahah, its pretty clever and it fits in with the mod nicely. I'm also really impressed with how you made the logo so well.

This is awesome, I love the details to give a sense of scale, those barrel buttons are pure genius. I'm looking forward to seeing this completed.
