nice work so far. i was skeptical when i saw it was going to be mdf, but you are really skilled and have pulled it off. The design concept is top notch, very architectural. i'm not sure about the grid pattern you made on the base though. it sort of clashes with the super clean lines of the rest of the structure.

Waw ! Thanks for the comments everybody !
I am a little bit delayed for the updates - very sorry 'bout that ... But I'll hope to give you a new update on the end of this week ...
There was a little contest on a Dutch forum, I joined but I turned it in a day too late ... so no prices for me :D anyway, I'm happy that I worked a little bit with metal because on this moment metal isn't my "thing"

Here are 2 pictures about the contest: Make a cool fangrill :dremel:

Very interesting. One thing though... the 12... shouldn't that be XII instead of IIX? :p

    Update !

yeah ... something went wrong, :duh: but It can easely be fixed :)

    but hello everybody

I’m back with another update ! :naughty:

First off all, I made some preparations on the side panel

The first paint, and after that I filled it once again.

I also painted the logo for the first time on the sides, because MDF is a very porous material.

After that, I took an alu panel And finished the inside at front.

The meaning of that empty place in front is now explained :D
But I don’t want to forget Guerrilla for sending me some screens of magazines for the thing I was making. Thank you very much for that Rob!

Do you know what I’m talking about ? :D It’s not an LCD like I said, but it will be a head of the helghast with eyes that lighten up. The model will be made out of clay
So first I printed the first model of a Helghast, just to know the dimensions ;)

On that design, I made the eyes at scale.

I had some time left so I already began on the helmet.

Still needs to be sanded though…

The next day, I made some improvements on the eyes.

With UV LEDs … this is the result, but I don’t like it.

So I took another kind of LED and this is better ;)

But still not the final result ^^

These 2 rounds are meant to be on the side of the head, on the first round, a tube will be connected (so the helghast can breathe) Argh … you’ll see what I mean :D

    The tube

I also made the basic of the model, They eyes and tubes will be connected to this
    [IMG]

Although it’s NOT the final design, this is just to give you a view of what it will be more or less.

As you see … the eyes are better now,
Thanks for watching and see y’all next time ;)
