I'm liking this vinyl a fair bit, quite pricey in the UK though. How easy is it to remove and does it leave any residue? That's if you wish to remove it obviously!

i have applied and removed it about 5 times and it does not leave any residue whatsoever! you can even reuse it ;)
its very easy to remove, you just peel it off.
P.S. i didn't use a primer when applying it so i cant verify if using it leaves any residue. using it is optional but recommended.

Brilliant, thanks for your reply! I've a few odds and sods that could do with covering and also my old craptop, I'm not too good with vinyl hence my question. Thanks!

That's cool, I'm a little curious of how the corners may come out on my old shite acer, I'm always thinking that edges of wrapped stuff will soon deteriorate, it's battered so a crisp new side to it would be good. Also my iPhone4 could do with a new backing and a few odds and sods in the car. I was looking at eBay prices, I'm also very close to a local 3m supplier so may go and have a chat, perhaps I can do a service/mot on his van for a roll ;)

just did my sisters mouse, its not even near perfect since i didnt have an exacto knife and used a shaving blade to cut around the edges and without heat :p
mine did peel off a bit around the edges in a place or two (around 3mm but is not noticeable)
if you are worried about that, you should also buy primer 94 spray for applying it.

Wish I could find a decent place to get carbon fiber in the UK as the only place I know is Halfords

I wouldn't buy anything bar rattle cans from halfords these days, last time I was there I watched a kid in an orange top struggle to change a headlamp bulb in a Ford Focus for a girl and I ended up doing it for him, well for her, she was cute so enough said.

If you mean the vinyl wrap in this thread or the weave and resin real stuff try eBay, atm it's the cheapest I've found without looking to import. I bought a couple sq meters of the real weave and resin off the bay a while back for about £70. This vinyl stands on eBay for 150cm x 60cm for fifty quid, not terribly priced and arguably I think probably a lot better than halfords stuff. Just search 3M carbon vinyl.

I ship to UK via USPS on weekly basis, and accept Paypal. Just email me which size di-noc carbon fiber film you want. Largest sheet I have currently is 24" x 24" but will be expanding the selection in few weeks. pcbuilder@mnpctech.com

Nice work there, I especially love the rolled edges, makes it look like you bought it that way. Very well done :clap:

That would have to be one hell of a service as a roll comes in at about £1600... lol

We bought one a while back and was definately a shock... now they are doing a few more tones as well, awaiting samples of the titanium and white/cream one... :)
