I've just recieved the hardware from Izar Micro, so after a year I can finally tell you what I'm going to put inside my Little Angel

"Little Angel" Hardware List

I think it looks much better with the little caps also give some contrast against the white.

Hey Raikkok, there is still a lot to do I'm afraid...
You always find something that doesn't match or something else goes wrong and you have to rethink the whole assembly hehe

I'm having trouble with the Aquaero 5 + PA2 module + CD Drive + Top radiator setup.
The top radiator goes all the way to the front and uses half of the 5 1/2 bay so there is not much space to connect everything.

Also I need to connect the radiator with the AQ5 to watercool it and with tubing is going to be a very tight fit but all my loop depends on that connection.

Today I'm going to show you the pumps I'm going to use for the setup:

Here is how I plan to connect reservoir + pump. (Please mind the foam... I'm not going to place it like that, will show you later )



First thing I have to do is some custom wiring + sleeving
What I'm going to do is connect each pump directly to the PSU. Each pump on different 12v rail...

The other wires you see are for adjusting the pump speeds via PWM, and that will be managed by Aquaero 5.
I will first bridge the PWM cables from each pump and then make a unique connection to the Aquaero, that way both pumps will work at same speed all the time (based on the Aquaero 5 settings)

Yes, very well built and awesome performance (and heavy too! )

I've been doing some sleeving to the 24 pins that are going to be plugged to the dual PSU starter I have.

Check the picture but this is not going to be the final result, you will have to wait some time to see the end result



Custom length wires ready!



Each wire sleeved individually and because of the custom length of each wire the sleeving was a bit of a pain in the.... fingers. A lot of measurement going on!







Finally because of the personal way to start the PSU's I had to measure each wire individally since I didn't want end up having some short cables and other long cables once plugged into PSU and PCB.

As already said, still waiting for some other parts to make all this more eye-candy hehe

 

Im not a fan of individually sleeved cables, but very nice work on getting the wires the correct size, good attention to detail

What is the alternative, if you want to sleeve e.g. the 24-pin ATX cable?

I've just finished sleeving the pump, so let me show you the "almost finished" product



First thing I had to do was to solder extensions to the original wires and get rid of the molex type of connector since I'm going to plug the pumps directly to the PSU (Molex out, 6 pin connector in!)



Green and blue wires are used to send the PWM signal to pumps



To have both pumps at same speed at the same time I just had to connect the PWM wires in series.
I also replaced the white connector with 4 pin black connector.



This is how I decided to route the cables to the lower section and onto the PSU.
I think they look good and will be hidden aswell



Motherboard connections will also have black & vanilla color combination, just not sure about the pattern



And this is how I left everything last night.
I like the routing but needs to be improved, maybe will have to add some other clips to keep the sleeved cables stretched instead of this spaghetti style

I think the dual PSU starter is one of the challenges I had during this setup (because of how do I had to sleeve and measure each single wire lol)

Today It's my day off, so I'm already doing some work on the motherboard.
I took some pictures last night, just wanted to share them with you













The bullets don't look that bad once the board is installed but is something that I don't like and will have to do something about it...

I will update later!

I think the best bet for the board would be to see if you can get water blocks to cool it if you don't, like the block's already on it.

I cannot wait to see the finished result's though.

 

I don't think it's too bad with those bullets. Their colour matches the gold parts of the rest of the build and also the vanilla sleeving.

But OK, if you still want to do something about them and if you can't get a water block (yet?) for the motherboard, how about if you simple painted the bullets black?

 

I can't stand those faux bullets have you though about maybe adapting a Waterblock for the bit or

 

I was hoping to have more options for watercooling the board lol

Waterblock would be the only answer

Thing is the bullets don't look that bad once you have the board at home, and also the color matches the build.
I hope to watercool it anytime soon

More updates from today!





I've been doing some wiring and crimping today.
This board has 2 4pin connectors instead just 1 as we can usually see in other motherboards.



I think that it looks quite nice!





Tomorrow I will finish the routing of cables and will crimp the other side of the connectors aswell.
I still need to measure each wire so once connected they still look nice, and then jump to the sleeving!

 

There are waterblocks for the MSI BBXPII, the mofsetblock is already done and out in EKWB store, the SB is soon finished ;D
