wow! this is a big list. mods - is it worth thinking about getting a new sticky based on current state of play? what do people currently rate as the best (and quiet) 1000 & 1200 psus?
Thanks for the list, always been a Corsair fanboy myself but I could be swayed towards an XFX now after finding out it's pretty much the same unit.
Are the OCZ ZX series any good? I'm looking at a pair of OCZ-ZX1000W-UN for an SR-3 + quad 580 (or better if the 6-series are close to relase when SB-EP is released) build I'm planning for next year. If they have known problems then I want to take that into account. Those are the cheapest 1KW Modular PSUs, have a single 12V rail and if the specs are anything to go by fit my needs perfectly. I just don't know enough about reliability of different PSU makes.
Hey all, I'm new to this forum. Just want to ask, which one is better if Corsair HX650 vs Seasonic X660?
I just have to say, And I know I am going to get shot down for this. Because its not a "Named Brand" But I use the Novatech powerstation 1000watt. And its an absolute buety of a PSU super reliable, happily runs everything in my pc. 2 years Warranty. Its a great PSU. And at only £99 one of the cheapest 1000watt 80+ PSU's going. http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/powersupplies/nov-psb1000.html
I went with the XFX 550W core edition.Very good. when running benchmarks (and skyrim - which caused the demise of my last one) it doesn't even get warm.
Hi Peeps, I am new here, Lawyer who loves PCs and custom building them, lol. Anyway lets get to business,Corsair AX1200w Has been perfect for my rig and my Corsair 800D.
Hi, I was looking at a 650W corsair enthusiast, should I get modular or non modular if there is a £10 price difference?
I'm with Cebrus. Great PSU and only 16cm long. I have only heard one story of one of these blowing and that was a 400w rated version putting out 700 watts...
Howdy folks, thinking about buying one of these: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/630w...ronze-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-quiet-fan-atx-psu or one of these: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w...ified-85-efficiency-140mm-fan-5-year-warranty or even one of these: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/600w...0-plus-gold-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-fan-atx-psu Thoughts? Is there anything better for the money?
hey guys, didn't want to create a new thread. anywho, when building my new system, i received a tagan 480W psu from a friend (to help me financially), now my question is, how reliable is it? i now tagan was atleast a semigood (oppinion based on reviews) psu-manufacturer. but i was thinkig more along the lines of ageing. i've not had any problems with it (been running close to three months now), and when i got it, i cleaned it up (opened it, cleaned it, custom painted it ), the overall condition of the interior was good. i estimate it to be 6-7 years old.
If there's one thing I've learnt over the years, it's get modular! Trying to assemble a budget ITX system and thought I'd reuse an old PSU. Nope, not gonna happen if the cables take up all the room inside the case. Modular, looks cleaner. Better cable management. Better airflow. Saves you time. Worth the tenner IMHO.
I bought a Seasonic X-1250. I hope it's going to be good. It better be for 300 bucks... The only problem is I won't get to install it for another month, meh Has anyone tried one? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
FYI, that be quiet is an epic psu! Might get that instead of the 500W PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III. Which one do you think guys. FYI my case interior is complete white!!
