Just about to order a laptop for myself for work. Could anyone recommend me one? As it will have to be used for a few years I would like the build quality to be quite good. Either that or good service repairs. Laptop to have the following criteria. Needs a decent screen (1080p preffered) Nothing over 16inch (Some laptops are too big) Will be used for Web Development / Graphic Design. Needs to cope with light Photoshop Work. Will be running a light apache development server. Any ideas or experience with different makes? I'm currently stuck with either Dell or Sony VIAO. Cheers!
I'll try, but usually full HD cost more than you would like. This is a bit over budget but gives you all you want and a lot more too. http://asuslaptop.co.uk/N56VJ-S4031H/Multimedia+Entertainment/Asus+laptops/d
using the Asus above as a base spec maybe something based around this http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/genesisIV/ dropping in similar spec to the asus above brings it to £650 ish but allows for more user customisation, such as dropping the GT635 but popping a core i7 in, or dropping the blu ray and getting a i7 and the GT635, a bit more power in the graphics department i would look at this one http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/enigmaIV/ as dropping the blu ray player can get your a GT650 instead of the GT635 etc etc have a play and you can get some very interesting combinations
A decent screen will cost a little more How about Lenovo Y580 15.6-inch with 1920 x 1080 Display Resolution It features NVIDIA GeForce GT660M with 2GB VRAM, and it with the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 3630QM Processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology up to 3.3 GHz. Check details if interested
