    Indeed. As nice as it would be for me to also try it, my money is committed to other things at the moment so I don't think I'll be able to PM with anything firm at this time.

    Unless anyone wants to buy my Poker and Mint CC. :naughty:

    Okay, thanks, so is the number (1.5, 1.25) a measurement or a scale of enlargement? And why must everything add to 15? (Well I suppose they don't HAVE to, but they do) Sorry for all these questions...

    Because if you put standard 1x sized keys next to each other there'd be 15 going across the board.

    Look at the number row: ` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - = and finally Back Space which is a 2x key (twice the width of a character key), in total that adds to 15.

    So;
    1.25 = 1 full key width + a quarter of a key in size.
    1.5 = 1 full key width plus half.
    Etc.

    So I am looking to get a mech keyboard at some point perhaps towards the end of the year, I want full size UK layout, not sure on switch type.... (mostly gaming), backlit and have at least some media keys.

    Any views on the K70? Thats the one I am leaning towards at the mo. The reviews seem pretty good for it but well you guys are probably better positioned to give a view than most reviewers who cover a wide range of products.

    Even though the newer Corsair are much improved over the first generation of theirs, I would still point you towards Ducky for your wants. I feel they generally are just a better made and nicer keyboard for the money.

    I saw that they have the one and the oni. Both for $89.99 providing the 15 minimum order and is met. Not sure if that's a good deal for the oni unless tkl have premium pricing.

    But you can get a full size board for the same money? That's what makes me think it's not quite the best deal by comparison to the price of the one.

    irrelevant sadly. that's not really how the price of keyboards works! I do know that oni is normally around $110, that sort of money (From memory). and I do know, 89.99 is an awesome price for a high quality dual layer pcb and stock pbt caps.

    Have to be careful with Massdrop however as they will declare the full value of the board on the packaging and you'll, therefore, have to pay the full amount of customs charges on it.

    still not bad at all. I think mechanicalkeyboards.com and EK declare the full amount as well, and i haven't seen them many places other than mechanicalkeyboards.com

    I still think that's an awesome deal.

    Unless you can get a friend to bring it over for you and without postage you're looking at about £77 including 10% duty and 20% VAT on top of that.

    So plus 20 postage about 90-100?

    Sounds about right to me. Just I know some people on here have been chuffed with getting a bargain on massdrop only to see all the savings wiped out by the tax man!
