    Thanks Cheapskate! :thumb:
Yes, also on the other side of the case coming other hinges

On the other side of the case, there is this metal sheet as you know

Into the central opening i'm going to insert metal pieces to create the logo of the case

    that's the idea

and fit temporarily to check the pieces

ok, now that's all is good, i can proceed to finish off those pieces.
My idea is to maintain the metal "color" without rust , so i've decided to scratch the metal with sandpaper and apply a glossy transparent coat

... Aaaaannndd that's the result! :thumb:

So, it's all for today... tomorrow i hope to upload other photos ;)

    So, i'm back! :)

Tomorrow's up it's dedicated to painting and assembly!
For the mod i've choose the Antrhracite black for metal sides and the motherboard tray

Now the paint is dry and i can see the final effect... I like very much the matt effect, very elegant

Meanwhile, i have removed the paper tape from the aluminium frame

With some sandpaper i'm going to clean the aluminium removing glue residues

When all is ready, i can now assembly all of the pieces

As you can see into the previous photo, i've already hold in place the motherboard... so let's start assembly also the hardware

And on the backside, all openings matching:thumb:

After mounting the motherboard, i'm going to hold other boards (usb/audio and power board)... let's start from the usb/audio board

With blue tape, i'm going to "mask" the flat cable that connect the two boards

    Next, i've mounted it

Same procedure to the flat cable that connect the power card. The cable pass under the tray to hide it

    And mounting the aluminium frame....

After that, i can mount the usb card.. under it, i've applied some tape to isolate the contact from the metal tray

As you can see, i've also mounted some magnets to stop the sides and lock them when they are closed

Next, i've glued the power card to the frame

At the end of the day, that's the result! :thumb:

So, i'm near to the finish... tomorrow i hope to upload the last photos before the final shots :thumb:

    I hope you like it.
    Good evening,

    Nice execution!

A little big around the edges, but i guess it's less excessive in real life, than from looking at a photo...

AAAAAAnd.... here we are with the final UP (before final shots)

Let's start with this scrap piece of plexyglass painted with blue spray paint. There are some holes but i don't care because when all is finished they not going to be visible.

This piece is glued with mastic... is very strong for this kind of gluing:thumb:

with the tape i hold in place the plexyglass until the glue dry

    Now it's dry

All is completed, so with rivets i can mount the bulkheads

Now, with other mastic, i can now glue the logo's pieces on the blue plexyglass

    I love it! :D

At this point, i can say that the mod is finished.... Tomorrow i'm going to upload the final shots!! :thumb:

    See you soon,

Nice job on the case, looks really good with the different accents on different parts!

    Looking at the pics, i'm going to ask a question i was asked myself;
How stable is the case? Looks like it could potentially be a bit unstable and prone to tipping over too easily?

    Hi storm, thanks! :)
The case is pretty stable, the base is 4cm wide. is not much, but i haven't got any instability problem. Anyway i'm already build an U support to maintain the case stable (i'll show you soon)

    Thanks arduum :)

    Thanks Cheapskate ;)
i don't know, i like it without leds (there is only one led on the power button) but in the future maybe i can insert some
