I know. I went this year and am going again this year. I looked at F1 and it was something like 900 each for the seats we wanted

I don't think it has gone through all the regulatory approvals yet, so could still fall apart.

I don't think anyone at Liberty has a sense of humour... or a soul...

Heads up: Sprint race tomorrow morning at 4am might be worth watching, zero Red Bulls on the front row.

Just what I thought - Liberty started so well with F1 and have gone very much off the rails (although better than with Bernie in charge still)

So, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin or retirement?

I'd put my 2c on Mercedes, they'll pay him what he wants, Toto's proven in the past (and the last couple of years) that they're not a finger pointing organisation, unlike Ferrari. If Newey goes to Merc, Max goes with him...
Dr Marko and Christian can explain to the board how he managed to f##k that up.

Red Bull should assume they themselves ****ed up when they cleared Horney and suspended the victim of his antics.

I'd love it if Newry and Sainz ended up at the same place and consequently spanks Ferrari into oblivion.

Newey building Mick Shumacher a rocket ship would send me over the edge tbh.

Supposedly he has hinted that working with Ferrari, Hamilton and Alonso are things he would like in his career, two of those things could be satisfied with a move to Ferrari.

The amount Aston are throwing around tho I wouldn't discount them. They have poached a lot of key people from Red Bull and other teams already but Newey is the type of person you sacrifice everything for and build round him. I expect either heads to roll in that scenario or people to go quietly and grumble in a corner.

Max has said he would remain at Red Bull if certain pillars remained in place. Newey is likely to be one of those. This probably opens Max up to a move to Merc if the design team aren't up to snuff. Could Newey decide where Max goes next?

Neweys contract apparently ends in 2025 and supposedly has gardening leave meaning he can't start until 2026 designing the 2027 car. Expect some legal wrangling first to get round that and even then what will the landscape look like? Will Hamilton and Alonso still be around etc.

I did say Newey was skittish lol
