100+ days sober

102 days

Well I made it past one hundred days. I go back to work tomorrow and school starts next week Tuesday. Back to the grind! My Dad is celebrating by giving me a dollar for each day sober. Pretty cool.

 

Congratulations buddy, I'm guessing you're past all of the hard parts now? Just curious, you mention going back to school, how old are you?

Im an art teacher in an elementary school and I am 35 years old.

 

How long is it now then? You should be feeling pretty good to be of it for so long' Well done mate

Well done mate. I used to drink alot, very rarely now. That's the bonus, I can actually just have the one or two beers every few months and not need to binge out.

I knew you could make it to 100 GREAT Job keep on taking it day by day and you can make it forever /pat on the back. Now make it longer and keep updating this thread I am happy to see you keep making progress and its always good to see someone taking control of their life.

Well done mate, that's the biggest battle won - feeling like you can keep it up means that you can keep it up.

I'm glad things are going well for you. You can do anything that you put your mind to. Keep up the good work and if you ever need to talk to some one you can PM me or just post in the forum. There is usually someone on at all times. Now it's time to work on 120 days sober. Keep up the good work and don't hesitate to post and get the support you need.

 

Last night was my wife an I's 10 year anniversary. Man did I want a drink to celebrate. We kept a wine bottle from our wedding and I wanted one glass. At first I like, I can handle one glass. Then I thought it would open the flood gates and the next day I would again be like, just one, then two. No drinks for me.
