Graphics 3D Mark 2003 Scores

Heh will take another rad97 user... the test seems to be largely processor independent. A friend of wil's is running a p4 @ 3.5 (like mine) and rad9700 and he just beat 5k I think... so the extra clock speed really didn't help much.

Looking forward to the new radeon next month, time for a new card me thinks

I got 1283 using:

AMD athlon1.4ghz
256DDR PC2100
ALBATRON GeForce4 Ti4200p turbo
WD 80gig Special Edition

with nothing overclocked so i reckon i might beable to reach 2000ish by tweaking the graphics card

gotta say though i wasnt really impressed with the new version.

 

I got 3953 using the following:
Pentium 3 1ghz 256k cache
512mb PC133
Radeon 9700 Pro

I think this version is WAY more independent of the processor, and is more into testing the video card... I cant get higher than 7500 on 3dmark01 with these specs..

 

I got 1501 on an xp 1800+(not oc) with a GF4 TI4200 oc 300/600.

 

I got 1642

P4 2.4 Ghz
1 Gb Ram
GeForce 4 Ti 4600

 

Up to 1127 now - GF3 running at 240/520 and turned the mipmap detail down to 'performance' (i.e. mud)

 

Am I the only one who can't submit my scores?? it just takes forever and then says I can't=/

Dude running 3dmark 2001 i get 13k+ cant remember exactly, i just got that score. Dunno wut to tell you man, im getting a new processory soon though. XP 2600 with 333mhz bus gonna bring the bus to 415mhz though. So expect to hear from me on my new score roughly guessing 6000

Well i downloaded the new ATI drivers and tried to submit my score. Couldn't it freezes but i got 4474.

i wasnt impressed either, prolly cos i got bored watching it at 8fps on some tests!

 

When my TNT1 saw me downloading the new 3dmarks program, my computer gave me a blue screen and rebooted it self.

Its like it has a mind of its own.

 

What if we found out if there was a certain difference in scorse between 01 and 03
So divide your old score by your new score and see what you get. I got 19.91, maybe it's the same way for everyones.

 

hmm didnt think it was too bad, i got 1600 first time but then installed ATI catalyst 3.01 drivers and got this.



I was able to run all the tests and the nature one was amazing, water effects were so cool

Next im gonna overclock my grafix card a bit

I could only run the fighter plane test, and the fill rate test. Would that affect my score?

 

I got 5049 on 2nd attempt, first one was 5010. The difference was only a increase in speed on cpu from 2.23Ghz to 2.48Ghz XP2100+ that is BTW

SO as stated, CPU speed is fairly independant. I've seen a lot of people on 3dmark with 1.5gig ath's hitting 4.6-4.9k.

So there is relatively little increase form a 1.5gig to my 2.48gig.

Which is bad as this cpu clocks like a beast, but my radeon isn't that great. 1st one i had hit 380/350 stock cooling warm room, warm september.

this one i got after first one got doused in water( ) only does 345/319 stable. It seems to reflect that the top score was 5.8k with a sub 3gig P4, but a 414/381 radeon pro.

By the way, incase no ones seen, at 1600x1200 the gf fx with the NEW drivers got a 1k bump in score. Now in all likelyhood this is a heavily tweaked for 3dmark drier release, but its also possible that we will see some large increases round the board with these drivers, and make the gap between the rad and gf fx more than marginal(not saying its gonna come and kill it now). But with the apogee version, i'm tempted to get one now
