Awesome work! What plugin tools do you use in Sketchup and what plugin tools do you recommend that modders have in Sketchup. I just started using Sketchup and I am try to get all the help I can. Which lead me than to ask, I see these really awesome renders, what program or tools are these modders using to make the end design look so realistic? Any help would be awesome.

Thanks, everyone. It's hard to keep track of this thread as fast as it moves...
    Was that a slip?

@Nutman - I don't think I could mass-produce this kind of stuff. Making a design and leaving fabrication to someone else seems to be a better option.

@Cleveland - 'Move to origin point', and 'export to dxf' are two plugins I couldn't live without. This project also used a bezier curve plugin.
I will say that if you plan to farm the machining out to a real machinist, the hobby software isn't enough. I'm currently learning a solid-based cad software because of translation problems.

Lol, the cat's out of the bag now. Bill likes what you do! You got to hold him on to that promise. ;)

Yes, that was kind of what I was suggesting, knowing how much time you spent on making just one res - I don't think THAT many customers would wait for one, but I might be mistaken?

I had already noticed nothing was countersunk in the machining process. I'm pretty sure you will not keep those pan head screws because it won't fit on top of the power supply like this. :nono: Also they look like ****.

@Nutman - The time taken on my parts was drastically added to thanks to Christmas. I had to rush machining the parts before, then pack everything up for the holidays. Afterward I had to hammer everything back into my memory to resume construction. I figured out some of the parts I rushed were wrong and had to be re-cut, and screwed a few up completely...
TL;DR= I put a lot more time than normal into this project.

-And stuff like this happened. I think a certain free antivirus software that decided to start random popup adds for their product caused this. The machine lost track of itself and started plunging the bit. Luckily, I caught it before it caused any damage.

The holes in the acrylic will be countersunk... and Phillips head screws you wanted belong on IKEA products, not scratch built PCs.

 Trash talk. In my defense, The store didn't have 3" allen socket flathead, so I went with ole Phil for consistency.

I just watched a rough clip from Mod Men with cheaps ragging on my socket head screws, again. ...So, now I'm going to be hand polishing flat head screws for YOU?! :miffed:

@Achron - Sure, gimmie the money for a copy.
@Bill - :naughty: You just saw that bit of footage, 'eh? Yep! I polished all the screws on the parts I sent. You have to admit, they look pretty awesome.
