Link to click on, please. I was quoted 40 quid each for 16x flexible risers.

Even so how much tubing would you have to have and split over how many loops. It would probably have to be a custom case as well, not even sure the TJ07 could cope with that much hardware, possibly a Mountain Mods case? Still we can all dream eh.

LOL I know how you feel, it gets really confusing sometimes

That is one clever dude right there... his farm is probably the most impressive that I have seen to date, and the way he has everything configured is so tidy and hassle free! He's a big credit to the project that fella.

Still ouch tbh... I'll not be shelling out over £300 for a board that (let's face it!) I'm going to run into the ground by overclocking and folding on!

Would the OCZ Z100 have enough connections to run say 5 or more 8800gt cards on this board?

    http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_z_series_1000w

If not, what's the most efficient psu that could power them?

The reason I'm was looking at that psu is that it's most efficient at about 50% and I'm guessing running 90.93% efficiency at 50% loading is more efficient than say 88.37 % at 100%load on a 550w psu. Plus running a large psu at lower load would make it last longer hopefully. Am I right or wrong in my thinking?

Sorry, not sure how many watts the 8800GT uses. You need to make sure that the power supply you propose has enough 6 or 8 pin PCI-E power connectors for the cards you plan to use.

I'm not sure the 2% efficiency difference is going to make a lot of difference to your electricity bill. But it's always a good idea to run power supplies at 80% or less of their rated capacity. They tend to last a lot longer when not running flat out.

Power supply wise guys, have you seen these before:

    VGA Power Supply

There's also a single drive bay version.

    What do you guys think?

What psu did you use in the magazine feature to power 6 cards, or did you use 2 psus?

Its a single 1.05KW model. Can't exactly remember the PSU they used. With the 9600GSOs it just the number of connections that's the problem whereas its connections and power needed for GTX 295s. But its still all managed on a 1.05KW PSU which impressed me

"We also required a PSU powerful to cope with a Core i7 and six graphics cards, so we opted for a 1.05 kW Enermax Revolution. You could use a less powerfull PSU, but very few sub-1kW PSUs have sufficient PCI-E power plugs for six graphics cards." -- Custom PC July 2009 page 120.
