    thanks a lot m8´s!!! :thumb:

In the last days we also spent some time into this project...:thumb:

This time we continued the building process with the top part of the Case and the motherboard tray...both had to be painted...so that they fit in our theme...

the motherboard tray gets a few additional highlights.....

The Fans which will be used in the top part of the case were also painted in the same style...

And last but not least we also added a few hinges to the case / sidepanels....

Very cool. Thanks for the update. Are you planning anything with those hinges? I wouldn't mind having a case that opened like that myself.

indeed, we´re planning to open all those small doors with small servo motors....so you can say the hinges were just the preparation for that...

In the last days we build a small plattform for that little music box we want to integrate... we build it for 2 reasons...the first reason is pretty simple...it´s needed to mount the music box and the attached servo....the 2nd reason is that we needed a bit resonance space just to make the music box a bit louder....

beside that we also made a few more parts for the mechanics on the right side panel...

and we also mounted a few dummy servos in the case which will later open the sidepanels...
for the servos we prepared a few u-channels with a few cuts and bendings...

thats all for now...but i think tomorrow we have a new video for you :thumb:

Where is the name of your projects inspiration from?
I have family that lived in Bogata Colombia, beautiful country with a sad history. Im really intrested in what exactly your doing in the oven, the details involved in this process.
I love seeing mods that take normal household things that anyone can use and make something stellar.

np m8!!, the inspiration comes from all the screenshots and pics we´ve seen as Bioshock infinite footage...:D

sure, i already did in an earlier post...but it´s easy and not really a trick :D
First you have to know that it only works with anodized metal, the parts you want to bake had to been absolute clean ...than you just have to remove all plastic parts and everything what could melt inside the oven....after that you just bake the parts for a few hours on the highest temp...if you think the color is the one you wanted to get you just have to turn of the oven and wait until the parts cool down. Thats it.

and here´s a quote from my prior post were you could see a few combinations of colors and what they turn to through baking...

And like promised yesterday....i have a new video for you :thumb:

    thanks m8´s!!!

In the last days we continued the work on this mod...

We started with a few parts which had to be etched..... like a bigger scale for the iris...a badge for the next sidepanel etc.....

this will be used to as "control panel" for the servos....it will replace the front i/o ports...

And we also made another wood frame for the second sidepanel
    [IMG]

Beside that a big pile of electronics arrived....so that we could start solder everything together....
