So, I'm resurrecting a my thread here for the excuse of giving you all an update.
I'm going to be in BOTH

Custom PC Magazine UK! (Ed. #104 I believe).

    AND

CPU Magazine ! (Ed. # tbd)

    Pretty great stuff!
I was informed that because I don't have any equipment in the case it is normally a deal breaker, but they are making an exception on my case mod. Which makes me very happy, of course.
I don't know what I did incorrectly, but I honestly only got 2-3 replies on all the emails I've sent to manufacturers and vendors regarding sponsorships. Maybe I'm just not knocking on the correct doors. Oh well, in a few weeks you should see it in print! And that's a great thing anyway!

Thanks for all the positive response, I've got to return to my current project now.

You have a level of care and patient few can claim to match, amazing job.

I'd happily pay for one of those Aztec circles to hang on my wall!

HAHAHA! Yeah, it would be difficult. The keys were treated with a hardener, but that pretty much only protects against scratching, mostly. Any pounding, and that stuff is dust.

Well, the stuff I used is pretty stiff. The paint would wear off, for sure, long before the foam wore down. The foam is pretty tough when it comes to firm compression, it's a very finely bubbled product. But the material itself isn't flexible like other types of foams. So it's also very brittle against scratching and sharp hits.

I didn't use the treatment on the case's foam, only the keyboard and mouse. But then again, I don't use the mouse and KB daily or anything. They are what I would call "functional" art pieces. But they would be terrible for daily practical use.
