My Mum's birthday was on this bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday I took her out for lunch and a stroll around the large gardens of a local mansion followed by the best fish & chips in the area, which we ate by the sea shore.

On Sunday we took her for dinner to very nice country house.

On Monday I stayed in and farted a LOT. Too much protein I think.

Spent some time with the parents this weekend, went to Ryde to watch the Scooter ride out (5000 odd classic scooters choking up the island with 2-stroke).

I made a Banana and Rum cake out of surplus eggs, rum and bananas.

I also cooked a roast dinner for my GF, her Dad and Nephew.

Fixed up a few laptops for various people and finished up an i5 build for a friend.

Didn't manage to get any walks in however : /

All in all quite productive : )

Took my family to butlins for a long weekend.

    Grandparents and all.

Had to hire a mobility scooter for my wife as she threw her back out a week earlier.

Had a great time, wasted far too much money in the 2p slider machines but the kids enjoyed it soooo much.

Don't care if I'm too late to enter as I was a winner all weekend :)

Even the diabolical traffic on the return journey didn't ruin it.

Those slider machines are a pita, I wasted allot of money on my 3 nieces whilst we was at Llandudno Pier and those grabber machines trying to get each of them a Minion teddy.

Yesterday I left some nice chunks of pork in a clay pot along with a pint of dark beer, a few cloves of garlic, a couple of chilies and some thyme. I then put a lid on it and set it into the oven at 80C. It has now been sitting there for 11 hours, and by the time I get home from work today that pork should be like butter!

Other than that I will be tinkering with my RepRap. I had a bit of an issue With Z-backlash, so I printed and installed some Z-holders which instead gave me Z-banding. Also my extruder has a tendency to jam when printing things with large first layers. It's fun.

And then I am currently erecting a fireplace in our gazebo.

This APU would go nicely in my missus upcoming new computer - she longs for a chance to dominate me in Unreal Tournament once again.

It was. I think the vanilla-infused sugar lifted the blackberries. :)

Oh yeah, slow cooked stews are awesome. :brrr:

Well today I managed to do a fair bit of damage to the front wing of my nana's car. So to say the least I'm unbelievably p***ed off with myself.

    Summer holiday, right everyone?

Tomorrow providing gramps hasn't already taken the front wing off. I still feel beyond a whole level of nervous.

I have not been on the road a whole lot and I just keep thinking "yeah, that effing happened."

Don't feel too bad bro, I rolled my dad's car 10 days after passing my test and it was written off :p

All part of the learning curve - just be thankful that you've walked away.

Aye well, I supposed I'm just peed off because it was so easily preventable and makes me constantly look back on just how dogs**t I still am at reversing a car. :p

My bank holiday weekend was spent visiting a farm/park for my little ones birthday and painting a bird feeder with my eldest. The usual weekend routine is normally filled with looking after kids and house chores whilst trying to fit in episodes of Community and a bit of gaming.

Whatever happened to being young with no responsibilities?
