Windows BF3 boycott due to preorder DLC in Full swing

    Yup. Manually changing one's location in the steam store url in a browser allows you to see the lower prices given to some european countries; but I don't know if it's possible to buy at those prices without spoofing location via proxy or something.

    Yeah, though I speak with my wallet for the most part anyway. I buy new releases on disc from retail stores where they're cheaper and just cash-in on the sales on Steam when I see something I like at a low price.
    I find that Steam is a total rip-off for new releases, but that the special offers are often at the other end of the spectrum.
    Another factor for me is that a 10GB game download through steam is 1/3rd of my monthly bandwidth cap gone in one night; so I still have plenty of incentive to get things on disc.

    That's probably something i should do really... although i hate buying a game twice.

    Haha, i remember building my new computer up at University and then re-downloading a load of my games from Steam.

    That month was somewhere around 150GB of downloads :|.

    Thankfully my ISP didn't say anything.

    More whining and bitching about DICE/EA even after they appeased the sheep on reddit? This is ridiculous - after complaining about the pre-order DLC you now transition to complaining about the way in which EA/DICE 'soothed the masses'. Disgraceful.

    Aren't we bored of this yet? The backslapping on both sides is just a bit silly when no conclusions are being reached and it's just passionate, unrelenting opinions being thrown from one side to the other and back again.
    Who cares who was right or wrong, the players are in a win/win situation now either way.
