Weren't you around during The Overclocking Store days? You must have been in your nappies!

 

Scary, isn't it. I've been a member of this forum for 41% of my life.

I remember that store... just... I've always had a nagging little voice at the back of my head telling me "You don't like overclockers.co.uk, don't buy from them" - The Overclocking Store might be why!

 

Haha, yes. It was very much like that. It was a great forum and I have many fond memories of clan CS sessions.

Those were the days. Jumpers for goalposts... etc.

 

Well, what a small world it is.

I was "Raster" (or "[OCS-CS] Raster" to give me my full title ).

I left due to work commitments, not long before it sank (new "Big-IT" job, new digs, lots of travel) and intended to return when I settled in but, well, we all know what happened next.

 

I didn't, I was a regular of the HardOCP forum (and later GenMay when that whole "thing" happened) in the early days.

EDIT: I realise I'm making it sound like I'm a crotchety old man; I'm really not, I'm only 34.

EDIT: EDIT: Although there is a possibility that I, and others who joined at a similar time, have had an account here longer than some members have been alive...

 

To a school kid, "only 34" doesn't compute. To them 34 could be older than mum & dad, and they're ancient.

Wait 'till you reach 40.

 

I was a mod over there before I was over here. That was from ~2000.

Yes indeed. Do you see anything of the rest of them around these days? (Johnny Napalm, Backdraft, Force9(?)... et al).

 

I feel like there should have been more gravitas for the name change.

Maybe a ceremony, cheering and some chanting?
