    And Bill just created a new way of lighting up a case, (waits for a manufacturer to steal it...) looks awesome dude!

    Been meaning to ask about the shinier case feet :D are they polished or are they just machined even better than they used to be because when I first seen the shiny ones that replaced the old not as shiny ones they have looked nicely polished, same feet but nicer finish. :)

    Looking sweet & liking the fitting theme flexi lights, awesome. :D rep overdue here too.

    I do believe that MNPCTech have just improved their machining! We all know what Bill is like when it comes to details!

    Oh My GOD Bill, this is amazing. I think this may be your best build yet.

    I love that Tach', Can wait to see that in action.

    As always, Overkill Bill never ceases to amaze and inspire.

    Awesome build this one, Bill!

    However, one question: Those magnificent Velocity stack fans are INTAKES, right? If so, why wouldn't they be mounted on the outside of the case pulling air IN?

    Using proper car parts....Like it mate. I've done that in the past with leds and the benefit is that the are always a lot tougher than the stuff we normally use.

    @Pranja, Thank you!

    @Kylevdm, and did you see the price?, they're Cheap! :D

    @munkey, Thank you for the post! and Welcome to bit-tech :thumb:

    @Waynio, improved the cnc lathe process, contact me if you need set, I'm running low on them already :worried:

    @RcRon7, Thank you Ron! :D

    @bulldogjeff, thats part of the fun! :D and Soo true about durability..

    @Nutman, I've reversed them, so they're exhaust tips :D

    Velocity style cooling fans installed.

    [IMG]

    Signal lights aimed on the cooling fans.

    [IMG]

    Progress on the top panel. The carry handle is reflective of the diy welded crash bars on the Derby cars

    [IMG]

    Top carry handle was fabricated & welded from 3/4" steel tubing

    [IMG]

    2x 140mm black anodized fan / radiator grill with 15mm spacing, the inserts can be manually rotated.

    [IMG]

    I've added aluminum Diamond plate for base of the CPU Load Tachometer.

    [IMG]

    Tachometer is temporarily mounted in it's base for now.....I should have the circuit board from Twizted for it early next week.

    I thought the quality of the feet were fine anyway, well the set I have are fine :lol:

    Have you got big plans for that front panel Bill? I would have thought it was begging for a set of blowholes..

    See that's the nice thing about watching a master at work; he doesn't need to explain what he's doing or where he's going with it, because the bottom line is we're just 'passengers' on the trip, sitting in the backseat sharing a soda! :hehe:

    Knowing Bill and how he thinks, I'm sure he has something killer up his sleeve for the front... just wait and see. :rock:

    Freakin' awesome, bro!

    Don't know why I thought they would be on the outside :D but what an awesome internal detail to have & no chance of them getting clipped with not sticking out, awesome sturdy carry handle, cpu load tach is just gonna be :jawdrop::) MirrOrange & matt black with shiny metals. :jawdrop::D

    Your right E.E.L. personally I love watching surprises come out of nowhere in a project, I have much to learn on surprises in projects. :D
    If John Hanlon is Yoda then Bill is Obi-Wan Kenobi. [IMG]

    Quality of the feet have always been great but I totally noticed a difference in the finish of them lately, now with more shiny. :D

    @Mankz, AMD needs some luvin... Their iconic logo will painted as front car emblem above the grill. You'll see the chrome turbine fans and mini projector head lights through the front grill, in which I'm really excited to see!

    @EEL, hehe, and your project logs should be a mandatory journey made by everyone!

    @Waynio, hehe :D debated about what to do with the face of the tach. making fake increments is predictable, but realistic fire would be wild and fit the overall color theme.

    [IMG]

    realistic flames will be painted onto tachometer face... "CPU Overload!"

    [IMG]

    PC DVD artwork. You can see why I chose Orange and Black theme...

    [IMG]

    Define R3 bezel frame and front door were color coated and cleared last night... Top of Fractal-Design Define R3 bezel....

    [IMG]

    Little bit of Orange peel created by the clear.. This will be wetsanded and buffed out, same goes for all of the panels...before graphics are painted on them

    [IMG]

    Masked off the front grill....

    [IMG]

    Window panel...

    Next stage is painting sponsor logos and "DiRT Showdown" graphic on the right panel. Then I'll assemble everything and hand paint illusion of scrapes and chips to fit the "Derby car" theme...
