We did a Podcast interview with Attila in May while he was building "Na'ir al Saif", now featured article on bit-tech. We also had Ron from Blue Horse Studios and LazyMan from WestCoastMods

It's easier to cut only the parts away in the DVD-casing, so that the "Disc Stabilizer" stays intact... no need to fiddle around with it, dentering it etc.

But if you're confident to get it working, then your method is even cleaner ofc.

Doing a mod like this to a slim slot-in-drive would be even cooler, to make something like the BOSE-stereo-systems :D

Agree on both suggestions jrs :thumb:

I'm debating about doing the top window in Part 2, with either a Antec Sonata II or Cooler Master HAF 912, which I have available for modding. I like the 912, but the top plastic I/O cover will limit visibility a bit.

Sweet.:D Remember not to look directly into the beam, Egon.
I imagine a dvdburner could have some awesome laser bleed-through.

“Rog-R, the Remote Operated Gaming Rig” is based upon Thermaltake’s flagship Level 10 case by Stephen “LeatherFace” Popa.

Thats mental. That case lends itself really well to that design. the paint suits it as well. Really like it.

Forgot to thank you for featuring ' Purple Rain ' on the site.

I was leaving for holiday the day you contacted me, and it made a nice welcome home present :thumb:

    A great honour

    Cheers,

    Mark

Yeah, I hear that Bill. As much as I like the design I wouldn't pay for one at £500 or just under and the proceed to mod it. Add another pile on modding it and your looking at £800 plus for a modded case. For that money I can do a full mod with all the hardware. As an example I think Heat Wave cost me under £300 all in, Ok it's quite low spec but it'll be upgraded over time as parts come out of other projects and get upgraded but that said I don't think a 7 year old needs that latest i7980/ GTX 580 killer rig . In reality I don't need it If I was to be honest.

Its funny about the cable management thing, since right on their front page it says "Attention to Detail...
...is the inspiration for each GAISER HIGH END design PC" guess cable management doesn't count.

As for the other company, i think its a phony shell corporation who is really just after your money. Hence the name......give us your 'Mon E U Al' sounds a lot like give us your "money you all"

Stupid and Rich is no way to go thru life. ..Or is it?! lol...

Ok, Wehr Wolf’s “Devastator” PC would scare the crap out of me if I discovered it around a blind corner. ....My mind is still trying to take in everything, esp the cooling system.

I wouldn't be scared of the mod itself, but of the person who had done it :hehe:

Case Mod Blog's Server crashed on Tuesday. Everything was lost. I'm turning this experience into a positive, moved to a new Host and revising the center column for larger photos and 720p videos, but it's gonna be a few days before it's done. Everyone is super busy with Holidays around the bend. Once the Blog rolling again, a proper Subscriber giveaway drawing is long overdue :thumb:

Please re-register, http://www.casemodblog.com/ if you were a past subscriber.

Thank you for being patient :)
