    Waynio <- heh... Thanks m8! :)

pOPe <- Watch what you spread around young man!

    Editor22 <- Thank you kind sir! :)

Gtek <- Come join the dark side... We got cookies!

coolamasta <- I believe you do! But with a car like that there is no time to watch anything but the road! :) And with that engine, who needs a soundsystem at all??

I'll post an update on the backplate in a couple of hours! It's coming along pretty well if I shall say it myself! :)

I promised you a backplate, and here it is! :)

I did all the meassuring earlier on before making the complete assembly in solidworks. Just a couple of tweaks since I lowered the standoffs for the mobo, and it seems it worked! :)

    The old backplate:

    Right after being milled:

    Protective film taken off:

    And mounted:

So right now the front, bottom and back is actually done!

Here's how it looks as I write:

Next I'm going to get the top plate done. Needs some milling and a little something for the sponsors! :)

C ya soon boys and girls!

Waynio <- Ty sir! :) Yeah I am aiming for something that looks a bit cooler than the stock one. Someone pointed out to me the other day that I'm a bad modder... I always end up building stuff larger than they started out!

mnpctech <- Thank you very much! :) Heh... that's the small oven! We got 2 more in increasing sizes. The largest can actually hold around 30x30x30 inches! And it can cool down to about -50 degrees centigrade... (if memory serves) :)

On with it Angel, noone want's to hear you ramble, they want pictures! :)

I got the top part of the case done today. (except for a bit of surface work)

It took a bit longer than expected, but that's what happens when you work faster than your brain can cope...

Since the CNCmill isn't really large as such, I decided to make it in 2 runs. 1 run, then flip it over and run the same program again. That worked fine! :)

    First run:

Flipped over and ready for seconds:

    Second run done! :

I thought about doing a chamfer on all the grooves, but I like the look of the sharp edges.

So this is where we are not all going to see eye to eye.

I know a lot of you dislike putting brandnames on stuff. I don't.

1st. I think it looks cool.

2nd. Since sponsors spend their hard earned money on me, I like to spend a little time on them. I made the logo's by doing "connect the dots"... Timeconsuming, but I really think it looks great.

3rd. It's actually not gonna be visible at all the way it's going to mounted in the car.. Shame..

Hate it or love it. It's mine, and I approve it! :thumb:

So without further ado; Here's a word from our sponsors! :)

I just need to make the surface nice, then it's done! But after 11 hours of work I didn't feel like doing anything else but get home and post this! :)

C ya in a couple of days for the next update! :)

Depends on sponsor logos, sometimes it lowers the overall look but when it can be done this well it looks quite excellent :thumb: this panel looks flipping awesome mate :).

Thx guys, I try my best! :thumb:

Sorry for not posting any updates, I have not been lazy although it might seem like it! :)

I was going to go with aluminum for everything in the watercooling, but then I stumbled on an idea. I shall call that a cliffhanger for now.

Should be ready with a work-progress update within the week! I hope!

 You didn't need to make the I/O plate airtight! That's some crazy-nice fitting you did there.

    @John - Space isn't the problem, it's the 60+ dome lights.:hehe:

jhanlon303 <- Me thinks you might even have room for an SR-2 in that thing!

Cheaps <- Once everything is meassured, I guess there is no need to leave more space than nessecary! :)

    Very small update:

Threw a piece of tubing into some engine coolant 1:2 mix (which I will use to cool the pc) just to test if it holds up. It's been in there for a week now, and no sign of any changes. Guess that's good news! :)

Uh, almost forgot! Just a small teaser:

Yup, that's good 'ol trusty 3mm thick glass! That should be good! ;)

And I got a head start on my pump. Well... Mostly ahead of my self as I kinda broke it when I tore it apart. But as luck would have it I work at a university in the electro enginering department, so I have a small chance that someone can help me figure out what's wrong. Sorry I have no pics of the part in pieces. But I will reveal the plans for that bad boy after the weekend! :)

Look how cute it is! I actually bought it off of a guy on Ebay. He had it advertised as a Laing DDC5... LOL - Np, got a bargain! :)

If I messed it up beyond repair, i'll probably go with the same type of pump that I put in the Wii, as it really is quite small!

I shall see thee after the weekend at the latest! :thumb:

Real glass getting bounced about in a car...Is that wise?

What are you using in the coolant, I'd imagine a bit of anti freeze would be needed.
