    Hi everyone,

My work was getting rid of a dell T5810. I thought this would be ideal for some gaming and video editing.

For gaming would it be worth upgrading the CPU or is that not cost effective/ worthwhile?

From what I understand Intel xeon V3 2011 is the highest it can go?

The computer currently has some of the basic 2x4gb ddr4 would I be better off just upgrading that if I can find some cheap ram?

Or should I just leave it and be happy it is how it is as I'm only playing 7-10year old games.

Whats the full spec? The PSU may be your limiting factor.

Hi Pete thanks for getting back, I'm currently on the mobile and due to the website layout I'm finding it hard to copy and paste. But the service tag is: bm7xwd2.

I also have a gtx970 I can add to it.

    Thanks.

Well its a 685W PSU, so it may be ok, but its around4ish years old going by the warrenty info. Could be ok, but the GPU in there is 65w and that 970 is closer to 300w, so it may not enjoy the extra powewr use, and heat will be an issue as that sytem has really limited cooling!

    In terms of CPU it has a 4c8t Xeon @ 3.6GHz boost. I cab't find any CPU lists for that machine, but in the E5 Xeons there's a 6c12t and a 8c16t @ 3.8GHz, but they're around £100 and £250 respectively.

Looks promising! I'm still running a GTX 970 and enjoying PUBG right now!
