Nice paint job. How was it painted? By you, or at a paint shop?

Looking nice. I doubt you on the crappy camera comment. You just havent found the settings that work. My little Sony DSC-S60 4.1MP with Carl Zeiss lens took this (sorry for the size, i want the full effect to come through)

Ok, the reason for me asking is that I got a Lian Li case which I'm thinking about having painted. But the case is made from aluminium and some of the parts are even anodized.

I'm just wondered if the anodized parts will be able to be painted without being primed - actually, I'm also wondering of the NON-anodized parts will need to be primed prior to being painted, hehe.

All of this paint that goes on will mean that the parts will become thicker and seeing that some of the anodized aluminium parts already sit pretty tight together, I'm just fearing that painting these parts will make it difficult to fit them back together - at least without scratching the freshly painted parts.

What is your experience with this?

    @ Furball Zen:

Damm fine picture. I tried few setting on my camera, but I am unable to set it properly. I will try to find some settings on internet.

    @ Nutman:

I don't know about anodized aluminium, but you should be fine with proper primer. Or,if you can,you could sand blast aluminium-that would be the best solution.

Ok, so sandblast the anodizing off the aluminium first and then prime and laquer?

For the right hand side panel, did you cut the hole for the mesh yourself ? or are you using the best bits from 2 cases ? I'm just wondering because my cosmos s right hand side panel is just a flat piece of metal with the CM logo on it.

It is easy to convert it-only problem is that fan mount is in different position (you can see taht in pictures),but I think it can't be fit there anyway.

    Thank you. :thumb:

Yes, not much room on the right hand side, and the fan wouldn't do much anyway.

The case is looking very nice :thumb: . I am loving the colour scheme you have chosen for this case. I can't wait to see it finished.

    Subbed :D
