Has any one seen the new Dell U2410 Monitor?

    http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfo/peripherals/monitor-dell-u2410/pd.aspx?refid=monitor-dell-u2410&s=dfo

Says its an IPS panel but is it H-IPS or S-IPS?

Anyone know if its better than the HP LP2475w?

If anyone has any info or reviews please post them here?

The Dell is £448 from overclockers.co.uk or I can get the HP for well under £400 directly from HP either using the discount codes HPSPLDIS or HPSHARE and the cashback website Quidco which does 4% cashback on the purchase price.

    Anyones help greatly appreciated. :eeek:

have you checked the price of the HP recently on the website? £506 ex vat. the price has shot up over the last few days.

essentially they are the same panel so thats probably why the HP has gone up in price. also being the same panel it basically comes down to which company you prefer.

I would wait until there is an indepth review done on the U2410 (ie. TFTCentral, PRAD etc) before you pull the trigger on either, however, (from experience) I would think the build "quality" of the Dell would be better than that of the HP...

No review of the Dell U2410 screen in Octobers edition of Custom PC.

I'll hang on for a proper review.

My Samsung 2253BW is making a strange humming noise at the moment. Not too sure how long its gonna last!

    This is indeed the choice.

Although then again, I've been a fan of the NECs for a while now.

At the moment have a couple of the 24WMGX3s and really like them, but have had 24" screens from both HP (LP2475w) and Dell (2407WFP rev A04), the 3 (three) LP2475ws that I had from HP were all faulty, the 2407WFP (rev A04) I had for about 14 months and found it a lovely monitor in all ways, I found the build quality/quality control of the HP to be terrible, but the Dell was good...

NEC has probably the best QC I've seen, a 7 year old 1st gen IPS monitor that wouldn't power on, guess what it was 1 faulty capacitor...The parts were pristine.

At the moment i'm erring on the side of the Dell one but am going to be patient and wait for a decent review. I have heard that there might be some pixel bleed on the Dell.
