    So I bought:
    This
    and
    This

They've both arrived and I've got it all set up and the enclosures plugged into my Laptop (windows 7, 64 bit) via esata.

When I plugged it in it found the drivers automatically then said the device is ready for use but it doesn't show up on my computer anywhere. I tried USB 2.0 as well and it did the same thing.

    Anyone know what's wrong?

sounds like you havent formatted it

go to admininitrtive tools and go to computer management

tjhen disk management and activate the disk and format it (quick)

Windows doesn't automatically recognise drives these days - USB it should, but eSata it won't.

EDIT: in Win7 you can hit start and type 'computer management'. It is in there.
