I have just built a watercooling pc with the specs below, and recently tried overclocking it for the first time. I increased the multiplier from 13 to 14 in the bios and started up a prime95 stress test, which subsequently failed after just 10 minutes. I took the next step and tried to ramp up my cpu voltage, but found that the original voltage (~1.264V), was only one or two increments away the maximum possible voltage (1.3V). Nevertheless, I set the voltage to its maximum and repeated the stress test, which failed again after a similar period. Is there a step I have missed out above that would enable me to stabilise the system around this voltage? My processor idled at a pleasant 33 degress on regular settings, and reached around 46 degrees during the stress test with the increased multiplier and voltage (before crashing). Any help would be appreciated System: AMD Phenom 9950 Black Edition 3GB Corsair/Kingston memory Asus 8800GT Graphics Samsung F3 Spinpoint Hard disk
