Have you looked through the useful WC links? There's a fair few shops listed there, and although they might not all be there, at least one should carry what you're after. :)

Just updated the whole list, everyone should find that all links work. If you do find one that dies, either post in the related thread (linked in the first post in there) or PM a mod. :thumb:

Stonedsurd: I had a lot of help through guides etc when I first WC'd, it's nice to give back to the community!

I've had very good luck with both Frozen-Cpu and Performance-pcs, but I've found that PPCs has just about anything you could ask for as far as watercooling parts. Both highly recommended, though:thumb:

Thanks Fisher. I guess I'll buy most of the stuff over the coming week.
Still can't find a place where I can get the DDC + top together. :p
Guess I'll have to flex the ol' creative muscles again!

Ok, so I emailed Alex at PTS (great guy, very quick and polite! Not to mention patient:thumb:) and he said the XSPC top + DDC is better than his old DDC top combo. So I've settled on that. Now for the EPIC confusion - there are 2 DDCs listed, one of which seems to have better specs but is noisier.
Would either of them cut it for a loop with the following:
    1 CPU block (heatkiller 775)
1 GPU block (undecided, either MCW60 or DTek v2)
    1 MCR220 QP
    1 MCR320 QP

    Thanks again.

This is a good labs test of the restriction caused by each type of tubing.

That link was AWESOME! Thanks a lot Frohicky.
I wanted to go 3/8" ID anyway, but that just reinforced my decision, especially in face of the recommendations from the 1/2" ID brigade. :thumb:

Np :D I can't take all the credit, the guys at WaterCoolingUK helped me out on this point. I'm getting a loop for my 4870X2 later this month, thinking myself of getting 7/16" tubing with 1/2" barbs on their recommendation.

All good advice, although I'd personally just go with 7/16" tubing and 1/2" barbs so you wouldn't need clamps or compression fittings. But whatever works, well....works, right?

I like the look of compression fitting, but thanks for the helpful suggestion :)

I read that draining is a big pain. Any precautions I should take to alleviate this?

Having recently switched from American thick-walled 3/8" tubing (10mm ID, 16mm OD) to European thin-walled 3/8" (10mm ID, 13mm OD) for the sake of using compression fittings I can say that it might not be worth it.

The thinner tubing looks well, and the compression fittings look nice and tidy, but it's much more prone to kinking.
If you have to make any tight bends inside your case the 16/10 tubing will be easier to work with, despite taking up slightly more room.

Thanks Zurechial, even I'm inlcined towards 10/16mm Tygon for the lack of kinking. I found these Bitspower fittings (link) that say:
Does that mean they'll work with 3/8" ID (5/8"OD) tubing fine?
    Is Bitspower recommended over Koolance?

Where can I order hex bolts/screws to go with the rad? should I grab a tap for the screws too, so that I can do all the screws in my case like that?
    What's M3.5, M4 etc?

My current H2O project should probably be considered unique in that I am cooling what is essentially a fanless CPU. I originally went with 1/2 tubing but changed it to 7/16 warmed in hot water and forced over the 1/2" barbs clampless after suggestions from The Langer and E.E.L. My main concern is packaging in a small space and not really flow considerations.
That pointer to the flow calculations was an excellently done post. Bookmarked.

    Thanks John. :thumb:

Where can I order those hex/allen bolts? Can I order any threading? Because the Swiftech rad comes with M3.5 thread (whatever that is) and I'd like to keep it uniform, so that I can just get one tap and a whole bunch of M3.5 threads for all thee screws/bolts around the case.

And of course, the one question that doesn't seem to have a clear answer anywhere (at least where I've looked) - Will the MCR220 accept G1/4" fittings? I'm keen on the Bitspower fittings indicated in my previous post, but the specs on it aren't very clear. :(

EDIT: This calls for a combo

If in the U.S., McMaster Carr is a great place to get socket cap screws (allen screws) online, or many local places may carry them. McMaster has any common size/thread type; either 'standard' or Metric.

The MCR220, along with many many rads out there takes G1/4 fittings.

Good luck! Let us know if you have any other Q's.
