Have been looking at changing my router to one that can prioritise gaming trafic over everything else i.e. youtube/facebook etc. Been looking at the D-Link DGL-4500. Has anyone got one or anything similar and do they work. (low pings all the time)

any router with Quality of Service should be able to do the job.

i run custom firmware DD-WRT on my Linksys WRT320N. prioritise my computer to have higher priority than other computers and zero lag even when other people try to torrent as hard as they can.

I'm looking at buying a new router too funnily enough. I've had my eye on the latest Netgear stuff, but does anyone suggest any others?

Trick with QoS is setting up the rules. Consumer routers are usually limited to QoS based on physical port, mac address, IP address and port. Easy solution, set ports 80 and 443 to low.
