After later checking the first 100 places went within 22 seconds of opening registration, with the other 50 being selected at random. We should organise our own bit-tech one
Well just to point out, about 7 people die in the London marathon every year (and probaly all the other marathons too). Shall we ban that?
There's a very big difference spacecowboy. No-one dies from the london marathon by accident, when they're not competing, and are actually just heading home from the supermarket with some shopping. People who enter know the risks, and they accept them by entering. Innocents killed because some person going stupidly fast collided with them, who did not enter anything, and did not agree to the risk of colliding with someone else who's going dozens of MPH over the legal limit - clearly did not accept the same sort of risk. It's not about the deaths, it's about the choice to partake in something that risks death, and the imposition of someone elses choice upon innocent people.
If you organise your own Driving rally type thing, why not try and make it a networking acheivement and have a wireless network while driving. it would take a lot of clever tweaking but would be good to know if it can be done
considering the tiny fraction of the world's population that can afford them, they are actually not responsible for that much of the pollution. it's mainly just really crap cars. (you might also be pleased to learn koenigsegg just released a bioethanol version of their beast car - it gets a 25% boost in power to 1018bhp, more than a bugatti veyron, and so much more environmentally friendly )
