10 Years ago today, on the 9/9/99 SEGA released the Dreamcast, a console many still love to this day.

I don't know about you guys, but I still play mine :) it's my favourite console. Crying shame that it went the way it did. They where still making games for it up till last year when SEGA stopped producing the GD-ROM's

Super Magnetic Neo, Marvel VS. Capcom 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Skies of Arcadia, Seaman, Ikaruga..

    Still all work perfectly.

I still wish that I bought the black Dreamcast, I had a choice at the store. D:

Actually it was released in the EU next month, it was the US launch that was Sept 99. Japan launched the year before in 98.

Guess what feature we are doing later this month :D:D

Soul Calibur on the DT is still the only, truly perfect fighting game experience.

Twas a legendary console, make no mistake.

Awesome! There are some amazing games on the Dreamcast. Favourite is Ikaruga but I like some of the newer ones like Radialgy and Border Down. Shenmue is another game I loved and I would play that for hours. I loved the way the game totally made you feel that you were actualy in 80s Japan.

had a really good controller as well! i think its worrying that in my opinion it was more comfortable than the current ps3 controllers which haven't really changed since ps1!

loved dreamcast! if i wasn't so poor i'd ebay a console like i did the n64 a few years back

In the dreamcast's controllers defense, it did have two slots for VMUs and / or a rumble pack... I could look past the cord issue with the sexy VMUs in there. Really wish they would use a similar idea in the new consoles...
