Recently purchased a Scarlette 2i4 and it's a handy little unit.

I'm looking at getting some decent Cans and a Mic and do away with my Razer headset for teamspeak etc.

Any suggestions on decent but not overly expensive kit?
I was looking at XLR Condenser Mic's with craddels but I'm told they are very sensitive and can pick up conversations from other rooms.

hmm good condensers normally have a switch to change the pickup pattern, but, I think they would be a little OTT for teamspeak! They need phantom power too do condensers. I would of thought just a direction dynamic mic would be fine, Shure SM58 is a decent mic that will only pic up what it's pointing at, you would get much less room noise with that, doesn't need phantom power either.

Well the 2i4 can do Phantom power so that's no issue.
And Yes completely overkill for teamspeak but I might also start doing some guide based stuff which this will come in handy for.

Reason a conderser came to mind was from all the various streamers on twitch using them with the cradles.

    Budget?
Condensers come in a variety of pickup patterns. Do you want just your voice or pickup of the room?

    Just my voice.

Probably £250 for both some headphones and a mic.

The Scarlett has got 48V phantom power but I agree, a condenser is overkill for TS! Grab an SM58 and a desk stand and you'll be laughing.

Headphones? Depends what you want. Budget?

EDIT: Budget appeared while I was writing this post. I like a pair of Beyerdynamics or a pair of Sony 700s for studio/DJ work and they would be ideal, IMHO.

I sold my 6 string when I was still at uni about 7 years ago. to this day I am still sad about that :( I've never really regretted selling anything in life except that.
