Thanks mate.3mm acrylic, I'll probably go with clear or a light smoke, but I've been toying with the idea of orange or the 2 way mirrored stuff that I used in my last mod.

My Misses says Dylan's to young for his own PC, every one else in my house has at least one so he should have one as well..lol

@ dancingbear84 get the modding head on, once you've done one you'll want to do more and more

 

Nah it's going to be pink acrylic and you can see who's the boss in the house for sure.

So make it pink and purple flames lol

 

Jeff, I'm running some ideas through my head, but nothing finalised yet, and I'm not going to hijack your thread with them...

 

That pink is likely to turn bring red under UV. Sorry if someone else has already mentioned this but I am short on time and was a little eager to get to the end of the log. I would encourage you to wait until the lights show up before you make any decisions one way or the other.


Also, I'm not so sure about the paint. Though its worth noting that my opinion could be swung based on what the rest of the case will be like. I don't like it on just the PSU but it could certainly be fitting if incorporated well into the mod

 

@ dancingbear84..if you want to throw a few ideas about I don't mind, you may have noticed from some of the comments that it's all very light hearted, in my last log we were chatting about everything from Hoover crafts to dogs.

@sixfootsideburns I agree about the PSU, I've got a little idea for a cover, that could look really good if it works. It says on the web page that the braid goes orange under UV, so I'll check it out before it all goes in the bin.

 

The lights have turned up and we have our spray tanned Essex bird.

Yeah, cool, I'm open to ideas, especially as I haven't started painting yet. But I will do soon, while I've got a bit of time on my hands.

Done all the cutting and smoothing, been waiting on a few bits and pieces, going to start putting it together tomorrow, the weather doesn't help and I don't think spraying in the house would make me flavor of the month some how.

And the knee..Still giving me agro, back down the quacks tomorrow, but it's not looking good. I thought I would be back at work this week, ATM it's not looking like anytime soon. One things for sure, me and the building trade are finished, I'm going to look into either taking a supervisors job and be stuck behind a desk all day or going into teaching. Maybe find something to do with computers.
An ideal job would be Bills job at MNPC Tech..lol

 

I was looking at that log yesterday, that orange is lovely. I've got a clear window for the case, I thought about going with orange and then thought it might be a bit to much with the case painted orange as well.
I've know of a few places over here that do all sorts of colours and at decent prices.

 

Until photographic evidence is provided it remains PINK!!!

 

Lol, it's the right colour, sort off, still not sure about it though. The heat shrink comes up really nice so I'll be using that even if it's just to add highlights to the black.
