WoW will not die even if Blizzard's support for it does. Private servers will be going for years after that happens. That is unless this whole 12-21-2012 thing ends up being true
If you check blizzards webpage they are looking for staff for a next gen MMO. At some point people will migrate to the new thing. Its always like that.
WoW went from a hardcore MMO to a simple anyone can do it MMO. The whole class mixing in each race, dual classes etc made it a joke. The game has a never ending story but it's getting old. I quit playing 2yrs ago and haven't looked back since.

Starcraft and Warcraft 3 are still going... and they are actively trying to keep people in wow, so I doubt it will end in the next 8-10 years or so, or until they release their next-gen MMO (which they wouldnt run alongside wow as only the next blizzard MMO can challenge the might of wow).
I know what would end WoW. Me going down to their headquarters and raping their entire networking system with a nice hatchet, followed by shorting out every computer they have, and then blowing up the building to destroy all the data... Can you see it now? "thousands dead" After blizzard networks being destroyed, thousands gathered and drank the special kool-aid in a cult like finish to the cruel game people know as "life" and "reality" MUAHAHAHAHA!

It''s never going to go I dont think people might leave but unless everyone that plays randomly go's missing then I think it'll stay (Btw I hope it does go =D)
