Good grief, and I thought my cases were oversized! Beautiful work on it too.

That's terrible that the MB died, especially considering it's a server board . . . whole point of buying those things is they are supposed to be reliable. You going to fit both of the new systems in to this same case?

 

No, it's imposible to fit both systems into this case.

The reason to split it into 2 new systems is because during the period I was using the Dual Xeon I was imposible to take profit of such amount of cpu power, no matter what I was doing, it's simply too much power, and too much ram, even taking into consideration I use ZFS to manage 28 hdds with 4 pools and double parity.

And when happened the mobo failure I thought on mounting another rig, splitting cpu & ram into 2 systems, and possibly with a new Mod. But the mod needs to wait a few months, now I need to finish updating this rig, and the i7 4770k I'm also adding gpu's
