You should put tatami mats on the "floor" of the case :-D

You can get similar things in cook shops for use as place-mats

    Update 5

It has been a while, been very busy building my portfolio website...

Gonna paint the heatsink of the motherboard in the matching color. Already started taping them, probably the most difficult taping EVER! Worked out pretty well but we'll find out as soon as the paint is on it.

    Here two quick pictures!

    And painting.

I/O shield will also be copper color.

And we'll be making a cover for the motherboard to hide as much blue as possible. Also made a wooden plate for the CPU cooler and there will also be a wooden GPU backplate in the next update.

Here the cover for the motherboard, it's still a test version!

Very nice and NOT straight lol. Don't worry, will be fixed :p

You can already sea the heatsinks here. They'll be copper with black. This to give a little bit more contrast to the build and not make it completely copper and vanilla.

The heatsinks didn't turn out great the first time so I did them again. Looking much better now!

    More to come! Stay tuned!

    Adios!

    Update 6!

Made a backplate for the GPU, of course made out of wood. The backplate will be mounted with these black screws to bring back some more black color into the build. The backplate will be painted to give it a bit darker color.

Also started on the outide wooden frame of the case. Made the 4 pieces for the sides now. Everything will be made with the saw and a chisel.

One has to be finished a bit more.

Finished all 4 outer pieces of wood for the sides. The one better than the other but because they are not perfect, I think the total finish of the case will look better. This way you can see it had been made by hand and not by machines. Takes a lot of time but the case will be worth more for me then, always wanted a case like this. :p

    That's it for now!

A wooden backplate while a grand idea; will work against you when it comes to heat.

That's what counts. I can certainly appreciate the "takes a lot of time" part of it lol

Won't be too bad i guess. And I don't think I'll game on it since I still have my main pc.

Thanks, and yes haha! Every piece of wood takes me about 5 hours to make and paint.

    Subbed!

This looks awesome. I'm trying to figure out a nice case design for my HTPC, which has been in hiding for months but needs to come back out of the server room.

And this is how they'll fit.
